Haha...I talk about ALL SMAP members equally!! Even though Shingo is my ichiban. Actually, sometimes I even went more hysterical on Nakai or other members, rather than Shingo...so, I sometime doubt my status as a Shingo-ichiban...haha~!!

But then, everytime I watch SmaStation...or when I had to pick members' stuff(uchiwa, photos). I know to whom, my heart really goes to... :woot:

So, what do u wanna know abt Shingo?? I'll try answer, haha!

Here's a start...


Shingo's Childhood Story

Shingo was born in Kanagawa prefecture. First son of the Katori family, and like Kimura, he also has only 1 younger brother.

Funny story, when he was a baby, his mother was not quite pleased with his looks. His mother thought he's a plain-looking un-cute baby, thus she's quite embarrassed to bring him walk around the neighbourhood! LOL! When, Shingo just knew about this, he said, "hidoi!!" xD Plus, his mother is the yamato nadeshiko(ideal woman/housewife) of the neighbourhood....so she dont feel like bringing around her plain-looking baby son...haha! what a hidoi mother nee... xD

As a child, Shingo love to play alone rather than with his friends. He used to collect insects. His weird childhood habit is to eat ants, sand and leaves. Only out of curiosity, what the flavours like xD if im not mistaken, in Utaban, Shingo once said, that ant's butt is sweet ....(ewww!!!!)

Shingo's mother was getting worried...coz her son never play with his friends outside, he always play by himself with games at home or playing with his insects. Thus, Shingo's mother started to think that she should let Shingo join kids activity or something...boyscouts! Yes, she was going to make Shingo join the boyscouts....but, around that time, one day, Shingo's mother saw Johnny's audition ads on the supermarket. She was interested...so she was quite confused before...whether she want Shingo to join boyscouts or Johnny's, after long-thinking, finally Shingo's mother decided that she will make Shingo join the Johnny's agency!^^
haha...Shingo said, "you all have to thank my mother for making the right decision, coz if not, by now probably I'd be a fat ojisan eating burgers and wearing short-pants," LOL!! xD yes, yes, thank you so much, Mrs. Katori!^o^

So in October 1987, Mrs. Katori told Shingo, that they were going shopping, while in fact, she was bringing him to the Johnny's audition^^

As a student, Shingo was not good with subjects that needs to be memorize nor calculating-subjects. He hated math, history, etc. Only one subject he's good at and he loved. Drawing study. He was really good at it, in fact.

Later, Shingo's father told him to do what he likes to do, he's free to decide what he wants. So, Shingo decided to quit school, after he graduated from juniorhigh, didn't continue to highschool, and just focusing on SMAP's single debut^^
His father regretted what he said xD(haha, but im sure he's proud of Shingo now)

Shingo once said, that when he has children of his own, he will give them freedom as much as they need, to decide what's best for them.(yay! Shingo will be a good papa, ne! A-san, hurry, give him a baby! lol!!)
If im not mistaken, he will also be the first one to support his brother, if he want to go to something-school (i forgot, what school was it, or was it studying abroad? gomen, i forgot), he will even pay the school for his brother, if needed.

Oh, I think Shingo's father is a protective kind-of father and didn't really educated Shingo and Yuji(Shingo's younger brother) that strict like Kimura's father. I heard Shingo told this story, from Pitanko Kankan Gold 2004, that when Shingo and Yuji were little, they believe in Santa. On one X'mas day, a guy wearing Santa clothes came to their house, delivering package. Their mother was telling them, "Santa kita yoo!(Santa is here!)". But that guy didnt pretend to be Santa at all, and just act normally like a delivery man, "hai, hanko(seal/stamp) onegaishimasu..". Then, I forgot what that is, but that guy did something which made Shingo and Yuji realized Santa doesnt exist and they were so disappointed. Shingo's father immediately after the Santa guy outside who's about to ride the bike, and SCOLD him!! LOL! "what were you doing?!? you destroyed my children's dream!!", etc, etc...haha!! Ii papa da ne, Mr. Katori wa!!

I mean, seriously!!! Matsu's new drama, Yakusha Damashii only receive, like... 8-11% ratings. But Matsu guests in Bistro SMAP, suddenly its... 21% ??!?

Hopefully, Iijima Michi(smap's producer/manageress) notice this, and fight for HERO The Movie, ne~!!! p^o^q

I am always looking forward for more TakuMatsu dramas...I really hope to see them again as a couple...but when??
