yeah good point! sometimes those films will get a limited int'l release in major cities but that too will come long after it premieres in japan!

i'm sure kimura takuya has something up his sleeve.

I'm hoping that the film will at least have limited release outside of Japan. I'm really excited to see it; Takuya should definitely be doing movies IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if he needed a break though between the film and SMAP. Maybe he'll get some dorama done for winter 2006 or whatever. In any event, as much as I enjoy the doramas, I'd gladly trade a year without one for a lead Kimura movie role :mrgreen:

well yoji yamada's twilight samurai starring hiroyuki sanada & rie miyazawa (thie first in the recent yoji yamada loose triology of twilight samurai, hidden blade, and one line samurai) played in select cities in the united states...i saw it at an indepedent art house theater.

i may console you by saying the following: anything with kimura takuya in it will surely reach the bit torrent community and it will be fansubbed eventually, no doubt.


edit: if it does come to the US...i hope you are near New York, L.A. or San Francisco...because I'm sure it'll be released in those three metro areas first.

I'm near SF, and the cool thing is that often Berkeley, which I'm also therefore near, will have special showings of things too. :woot:

there was an unsubstantiated rumor about this in the japanese press a few months ago....but there hasn't been any info regarding it since then...doesn't seem to be true.

Really, after almost 11 years of just not giving a damn about him, I sure can't get enough Shingo! Gods. I feel like such a damn SELLOUT for even saying that! But I just got drink!smap in avi. from tea_box and just forgot how great it was. I mean I have it on VCD but all the details you miss out on are just massive. I missed out on alot! Including Shingo's "It Can't be" performance, I don't recall it being filled with so much GAY.

It says HERO special will air in July, with original casts gather once again: Kimura Takuya, Matsu Takako, Abe Hiroshi, etc. Addition casts are Tsutsumi Shinichi, Ayase Haruka and Nakai Kiichi.

The story is about their prosecution departement in charge of a big IT company case. I'm so excited!!!!!!!


Shingo will be doing Saiyuuki The Movie, but I'm sure it won't be out until next year^^ Esp. since its a CG movie. But you can look out for UCHOTEN HOTERU DVD release in June!!^^

Tsuyoshi's movie, Nihon Chinbotsu(Japan Submerged), with Shibasaki Kou, will premiere on 15 July. From the trailer, it looked like a Steven Spielberg disaster movie :)
