This is the example of The Extrovert-Introvert Balance in SMAP which works well, I've mentioned in the previous pages...haha!!!


SxS Ending Talk 22.Aug.2005 - last part

Nakai: So, we SMAP will have concert shows in Osaka Dome soon, on Wednesday (24 Feb) and Thursday (25 Feb)!! Why don't we give a preview for the audience, on what might we do in Osaka shows?

Tsuyoshi: Okay....what shall we show the audience, then?

Goro: Why don't we do some action this time??

Shingo: Yeah...like "BANG! BANG! Vacance" last pose...

Nakai: So...Tsuyoshi, come on, do it.

Then, BAKA Tsuyoshi follow what Nakai said! xD

Nakai: Oo...that's nice!!! Okay, so Wednesday is Tsuyoshi. For Thursday...why don't we give the honor to Goro?

Goro: Oh, is that okay?

Nakai: Okay, Goro, do it.

Goro: Seriously?

Hahaha.... The other three is really naughty!!! How come its decided only Goro and Tsuyoshi doing these "actions"??? lol! And BAKA Goro-Tsuyoshi didn't complain either! :rofl:

The Bistro Saga - Prologue


In the Year-End, December 30th, 2002 Bistro SMAP... They did a calculation of how much each chef had won for one whole year.

1. Kimura = Won 12 times.
2. Nakai = Won 11 times.
3. Shingo = Won 10 times
4. Goro = Won 4 times.
5. Tsuyoshi = Won 4 times.

Then on this Year-End bistro, Nakai asked Goro and Tsuyoshi of what they think about this record.

Nakai: Let's hear from Goro-chan...

Goro: I'll be reborn next year! [meaning: I'll win MORE Bistro matches next year!]

Nakai: Next year? Bistro will begin with a LIVE one next year, you sure you'd be reborn already by then? [meaning: you sure you can win in a LIVE show?]

Goro: *acting snob* It's a definite match...

Tsuyoshi: Starting next year...I will definitely...!!!

Nakai: Okay then, you better do your best!! Tsuyoshi-kun, Goro-kun, please do your best!!

Goro: Of course!! Next year, definitely!!!

Tsuyoshi: Next year my cooks would be 'pakuru'!!

The Bistro Saga - Episode 01


In LIVE Bistro January 13th, 2003... The guest is Matsushima Nanako, and Kimura-Shingo team won!!^o^

When she about to give the kiss presents, Nakai get rid of Goro and Tsuyoshi, "Get out of the way!! We only need a shot of the winning team!". Haha!

After she kissed them, Nakai asked the losing pair.

Nakai: Are you two okay? It's a brain test after this...

Goro: It's alright, it's alright! I have the feeling I'll win today! Don't worry!

Tsuyoshi: *putting his arm around Goro* Yeah! This is just the start. The goddess of victory definitely on our side!

Hahaha....in the end, it was Goro and Tsuyoshi who got the penalty ne!! xD

The Bistro Saga - Episode 02


The next saga is on Bistro Jan 27th, 2003 with Takeuchi Yuko as the guest. She asked for "Delicious Dinner".

Nakai: Kimura-kun, Shingo-kun team!!!!

Kimura: Inagaki Goro... Kusanagi Tsuyoshi.... Today we'll finish you off!!

Goro: *acting snob* Kimura Takuya...!
Tsuyoshi: *acting snob* Kimura Takuya...!

Kimura and Shingo comes forward to Goro and Tsuyoshi, like challenging them to have a fight!! Haha!!!

Then Goro and Tsuyoshi are suddenly acting all polite and they bow to the camera!!! :rofl:

Goro-Tsuyoshi: Yoroshiku onegaishimaaaaaasu~~!!!!

Nakai comes down late, he was going to separate them.....haha!

Eventually, Goro-Tsuyoshi team win this time!!!!!!!^o^

Nakai: You finally win!!! Kimura-kun, Shingo-kun's failure...
Goro: Ureshiiii~~~!!!

Nakai: *to Takeuchi Yuko* So, why did you choose them?
Yuko: I feel like they've did their best cooking these dishes...

Nakai: The feel that they've did their best cooking for you, had really reached you?

Yuko: I think that kind of feel is important for dinner....

Nakai: Aaa....*pointing at Kimura-Shingo cooks* So this one, they didn't do enough effort for it, huh?

Yuko: No, no! I didn't mean that!

Shingo: *acting cool* Oey, oy...Yuko...we did our best too, y'know??

Yuko: *laughs* Yes, yes...your cooks is KAKKOI!

Nakai: Unn...*pointing at Goro-Tsuyoshi cooks* And this one is made with full effort... so, apparently she's saying the tastes are just so-so, though....

(everyone laughs)

Goro: YATTAAAAAA~~~!!!

Goro: Winning with being team up like this, makes me feel even HAPPIER than to have a one-on-one match like last year.

The Bistro Saga - Episode 03 (Final! ...for the moment^^)


The next saga happened 2,5 years later on Bistro November 14th, 2005. The guest is a model, SHIHO. It started when the guest start tasting Kimura-Shingo's dishes. Though it seems the guest seem to loved Goro-Tsuyoshi's dishes very much and it looks like they gonna win, but apparently she also love Kimura-Shingo's dishes so much...and so....

Nakai: Please, tell that team *points at Goro-Tsuyoshi* "This dish taste so good, I'm sorry!"

Shiho: *to Goro-Tsuyoshi* Ah...this dish taste so good, I'm sorry!

Tsuyoshi: Iie, iie...it's alright... Ours were good too!
Goro: Sou, sou...it's alright. Sorii, sorii...
Tsuyoshi: *to Kimura-Shingo* Sorii....

Then, the guest seem loving Kimura's pasta alot too!

Shiho: *to Goro-Tsuyoshi* Sumimaseeen....
Kimura: *to Goro-Tsuyoshi* Sorii~
Shingo: *to Goro-Tsuyoshi* Sorii, sorii!

Goro: Kocchi mo "sorii"... (we're sorry also)

Then it's Shingo's desert, Fruits Guratan.

Tsuyoshi: Aa...you failed preparing the plate?

Shingo: *acting snob* Ahahahah!! It is Gold Powder on the plate!!
Kimura: Woohoo~

Shingo: *to Goro-Tsuyoshi* I guess, chefs with level like yours, might only see it as dust...

Goro: *making a weird face* Kusoooooo(sh*t).........

Then, its time for them to eat the dishes together...

Nakai: Have you decided who win?
Shiho: Yess....somehow...


Then, it's time to decide who win. Goro and Tsuyoshi finishes their foods and get ready for the decision. But Kimura and Shingo still eats calmly like it's obvious that they're winning!! :hehe:

Nakai: The winning team is....

Shiho points at Goro-Tsuyoshi!!!

Wuahahaaha.....Kimura-Shingo FREEZE at once!!! They actually freezed like this for about 5 seconds!!! LOL!

Nakai: You know....this is not something made with pause effects...they're actually freeze now.

Then, he saw at the other side. Apparently, Goro-Tsuyoshi freeze too! LOL!

After the guest kissed Goro and Tsuyoshi...

Nakai: *to Shingo* What did you say earlier? "You guys won't understand Gold Powder like this..." ....but you lost.

Shingo: Shock desu ne...

Yanie, these are the best. I almost always skip the Bistro segments because the cooking doesn't thrill me, I love the SmaSma skits and so I guess I missed out on alot. I love your screencaps, from Shingo and Takuya freezing up in shock that they didn't win, to Goro and Tsuyoshi acting like snobs. ^__^ Thank you for sharing.

PS - What are the kissin' lips on their hats mean? Is it the # of wins? I notice Shingo has alot of them and from what I can see in the caps, Takuya doesn't have many. Or maybe he has three other hats covered in them? Hahha?

The big pair of lips on their hats has their win totals (multiple of 10) on them. The smaller pair of lips are single digit wins so when they get 10 of the small lips the number on the big lips goes up by 10. And then the totals on their hats eventually gets added to the all time totals on their sleeves. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense...I think I just confused myself typing it out :hehe:

Goro-chan is too cute trying to do a headstand. Plus I really like the casual t-shirt and jeans on him...he should lose the scarf, heh. I wonder if he realized he'd be showing his oshiri straight into the camera. Very un-Goro like ne....heehee.

hehe, i don't think miho will be getting pregnant anytime soon. at least, not before they're married. they've been together for over 9 years now and she still didn't get pregnant so i'm sure they won't accidentally get pregnant now. but goro needs to be making babies already!! he's not getting any younger

Yeah...when I was a Smappy in the earlier days. I've also tend to skip Bistro...I didn't really get what they're talking about x) And I'm not fond of cooking show, either. But later...I found out, Bistro can be VERY interesting and funny, sometimes!!^^ Interactions between members keeps showing...and I love to see that! Even if it's just small gesture, like when Shingo cut his finger with a knife accidentally and Kimura put Shingo's finger into his mouth xD

Wa...Taisuke! Welcome back! Where have u been? How many hundred pages have you missed?? xD

Glad you liked The Bistro Saga recaps, haha! Actually there's another saga in 1996, when they were all still rookies and Mori left. It's mostly KimuraGoro vs ShinTsuyo....and it was really funny and so interesting!! I mean, we've seen how they have become pro chefs now. But in 1996, they really started from zero...and we can see their cooking skills developing slowly. And in the beginning, most guests doesn't look so thrilled with the dishes either. One of them even said, "MAZUI(this taste bad)!!" on Shingo's desert! Haha...Shingo almost jump off from the 2nd floor! :hehe:

And the team who loses will have to stay at the studio to get extra cooking lessons by themselves, even if the staff shut down the electricity already, lol! And ShinTsuyo were the ones who always get these extra lessons. But there's one time, ShinTsuyo finally won, and KimuraGoro became the ones stuck with the extra lessons....haha!! Hillarious!

It's like watching the real-life DORAMA on young rookie chefs-in-training! :hehe:
