And to think of it again now... I have interest in Arashi, only because, to me it seems Nakai like them so much. And also because Kimura, Tsuyoshi and Shingo thinks kinda highly about them. And of course, because when they were asked, "Do you like Arashi?". Goro said it so cheerfully, "HAI! SUKI DESU!" :hehe:

Loved Arashi members' actings and dramas too, of course....loved them, individually.

But I guess, the biggest influence for me, to have interest in Arashi... is because of SMAP shows interest in them... heheh...okashii nee... :mrgreen:

In Sanma & SMAP 2000, Sanma really mention a few times about Kimura's marriage issue, INDIRECTLY. Making jokes out of it. Kimura switch on the Laughing-Santa voice, and looks like he SCREAMED at Sanma! LoL!

Then for Goro, it's a "Touhou(east) Shinnen" card. I'm not sure about the 'shinnen' word, I didn't really hear it clearly. Nakai and Kimura asked, "What's that? What does it mean?". Sanma switch on the Laughing-Santa voice, tells them about it... and Nakai laughs.
Goro just smiled and accept the card and said, "Sore, gouin jannai desu ka?"(that's quite daring, isn't it?).
Then, Sanma blurt out accidentally, "Miho totta...", he realized what he just said and cover his own mouth. Nakai and Kimura beats him, and he falls to the floor xD He said, "Kore wa... HONTOU NI GOMEN NASAI!".

Then, in Sanma & Smap 2001, where he got tired after chasing Kimura with the skate skooter, not only he said 'shizuka', but he said, "Shizuka no baka!!" ....lol!

Please, anyone, correct if I'm wrong... I'm not too sure either with my listening skill


I officially learn with textbooks and all... since May last year.

All these 5-6 years, I just keep watching alot, alot of dramas and japanese variety shows, everyday. And somehow, it just improve my jap by itself....however, without understanding the grammar totally...until May last year^^

My ichiban will alwayz be Nakai-kun,, but if I have watched Kimura-kun's drama earlier than Nakai's,, then he will sure be my ichiban for sure,, coz he's so cool, kakkoii in the dramas,, and not forget to mention,, he sings well.. :applaud: haha,, so my ichiban is Nakai, niban is Kimura-kun... I love to watch these two tops together,,, the old times magaz,, their duet song, and the time when they stand/sit together in a show,,, I really love to watch them... :muack:

The rest of the members,,, I love equally,,, but if have to rank it,, Shingo is sanban,, Tsuyoshi is yonban and Goro is Goban... Goro is a quiet type so I dun really pay much attention to him,,, :rofl: Haha,, but I love the younger Goro,, he's really pretty... :hug:

He's already dating Miho, at that point. They started dating since mid-1999.

Haha...dont think about it too much... Sanma just like teasing Kimura, and he knows Kimura can never get angry with him, no matter what he said^^

Ya,, love is without a reason one,, we love somebody or something simply bcoz we think that that person or thing is comfortable for us,, they can cheer us up so easily,, haha,, like me,, everytime when I'm in a bad mood,, I watch smap's related program,, and listen to their song... :rofl:

It's you're fault guys why i can't choose my ichiban and niban coz some say Takuya is cool, Nakai is a good leader, Shingo is adorable, Tsuyoshi is gentle, & Goro is lovable who would i choose when i like all those quality,all of them have an amazing humor and to top it all they love each other so to be safe SMAP is my one and only :mrgreen:

My ranking of Smap members....let's see...

Kimura has always, always been my ichiban, it's not even close. But my no.2 to no.5 kept on changing, I guess lately my no.2 is Shingo because he's so darn cute!

3.Tsyuoshi, Goro, and Nakai--can't decide on the ranking, so they're all no.3 :hehe:

Well, as an 11 year Kimura fan, he's easily my fave. In fact I like him more each year it seems. He's like fave among faves.

Once I started to pay attention to SMAP which was only a couple of years ago, Goro was the second one that interested me. He's still second. I find him funny and cute. Plus I enjoy watching Takuya interact with him the most.

From there, things switched. Shingo used to be 3rd, Tsuyoshi 4th and Nakai last. But lately I've found Nakai sooooo adoreable that he's shot up to 3rd. Shingo is 4th and Tsuyoshi is last.

The Shizuka part was from Sanma SMAP 2001 and the Miho part was from Sanma SMAP 2000. The Miho part is pretty ambiguous though.. not too sure what Sanma meant by saying "Miho" but Nakai and Kimura ended up beating Sanma for saying it and Goro was just like "Eh?". Perhaps you can explain more after watching it?

BTW Yanie, how long have you been learning Japanese?

As for me, I knew smap because of Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana, and Shingo fastly become my ichiban. I can't choose other than Shingo, because he is absolutely my choice when I knew SMAP. sometimes I got confuse on other smap because they all so talented and have their own attraction, but when I come back home and see Shigo pic on my wall, I would think back, "He is always be my first in smap" Shingo have everything that other smap can't be like him, maybe he is not handsome and sexy like Takuya, or mysterious like Goro, or full of humor like Nakai, or gentle as Tsu but, he is sooo kind of guy and..his smile is the most valueable thing on him. He is not pretend on himself, and be as who is the real Shingo. maybe sometimes he looks like childish but thats make the other people love him so much. Love the way he with his smap brother :smitten:

Followed closely is Nakai, my niban. Nakai such a kakkoii man, and I love the way he try to makes people happy because of him.

After Nakai, must be Goro~~and then Tsuyoshi~~and lastly Takuya :mrgreen:

Wah seems like everyone is talking about ranking of smap members.....suddenly it feels like we are betting on horses....hahaha..with all this changing of ranks....

Yesterday finally watched bistro smap 26 feb with norika fujiwara...everyone was congratulating her about her wedding and she look sooooooo gorgeous!!!
The funny part was the oishii part where Shingo acted like Norika's husband. During the conversation btw Nakai & Norika, she mentioned that Jinnai passed her a letter (very old fashion way of expressing love!) expressing how he feels and if not mistaken to ask permission to date her. So Shingo actually acted out that part, but this time he handed the letter to Tsuyoshi!! kakakaka....you've got to watch it.

The ending with Ayumi was excellent!!! Although Takuya looks so messy and TIRED. *sigh* i wish he could look more fresh.

Anyway, i will try to upload this week bistro before next monday....
and....next wee bistro guest is Ghost Rider Nicolas Cage!!!!! Cant wait!

I was exactly like you yanie, until 2 years ago! My interest in K8 firstly was because I heard Naniwa Iroha Bushi for the first time and I couldn't believe something as wonderful, artistic & of higher-quality music like this comes from a JE band...Watched their first concert and realized how unpretentious these guys are, very very unlike a JE band, not kira-kira or shining brightly, but simply true to themselves & made me think of a much younger SMAP. Yes like you yanie, suddenly it came down to SMAP when I started liking K8...And then I read up their history and I thought, no other JE bands have ever gone through so much in their lives to get to stardom, but then I said, oh wait, SMAP did! :hehe: It somehow turned back to SMAP, see? Every time I think about K8 I think about SMAP (they have so much in common & yet so different), then I know that this is one group I can truly care about.

But yeah, SMAP are really to blame for my interest in K8! :hehe:

I can never make out my sanban, very very dim & unclear to me. I can rank up my K8 from the top of my head from 1 to 8, but I love the other 3 in SMAP so much that they're equal to each other hehe...

first of all...welcome back Taisuke, we really miss u here :mrgreen:

Speaking of members ranking, this is mine
ichiban: Tsuyoshi
dai dai niban: Nakai
niban: Takuya, Goro and Shingo

At first Takuya was my ichiban after i watched Asunaro Hakusho, but my love for Takuya wasn't as big as it is to Tsuyoshi ^^; then i watched Messenger and got to know Tsuyoshi, and got mesmerized by his acting skill. Since then i became addicted to his dramas, and it finally brought me to SMAP. I was so curious about SMAP and wanted to know more about them. The first time i knew about them Goro was my goban, i didn't know why but i found Goro was :bleh: at that time (no offense girls ^^). Nakai nad Shingo were somewhere between my sanban and yonban. And then i watched more Nakai's dramas. I suddenly felt sooo crazy over him. Man!!! he CAN act!!! i really enjoyed his dramas. At that time, Nakai was my niban instantly. Then i watched Goro's Asuka e, his drama SP. Oh noo......i fell in love, and really really madly in love with Goro after watching it. Never have i thought Goro could steal my heart like that :sweat: so, he was my niban then, replacing Nakai.
But, as time goes by, i really can't resist NAkai's charms. Somehow, no matter how i was being so deeply in love with Goro/Takuya/Shingo, Nakai always pulls me back :hehe: So, now he's my niban FOREVER, and i have to add "dai dai niban" for Nakai because only him who can make me really crazy, with the same level as Tsuyoshi does to me :hehe:

The reason i love Tsuyoshi? well...despite his poor singing voice, his skinny body, i am always amazed by his acting skill. Really!!! To me Tsuyoshi is such a very hard working man. Not to mention his low profile and humble character. I really love him deeply. So far, no one can surpass my feeling for Tsuyoshi :victory:

Ohh Rankings...

1. Shingo- I just love him.he's so unique and I don't know he's just Shingo. He reminds me of a little kid and I love his smile.
2. Tsuyoshi- It used to be Nakai but now its Tsuyoshi cause he's very nice and gentle..he seems like the peacemaker type and seems like he'd be able to get along with anyone.
3. Nakai- I love him. He's the first SMAP member I knew about because of all the Utaban I watched..Arashi(my 1st JE band) introduced me to him but I didn't find out he was in SMAP until last year. He's outspoken and just adorable.
4. Takuya/Goro- They're both hot but I feel that I know their personalities the least out of everyone so they're last for now only cause I don't know all that much about them..I kinda like Takuya a bit more than Goro though..I don't know why.
