i DUNNO. i don't even know what he was doing in my dream anyways. maybe it was because of all the nishikato/ryoshige stuff i'm reading and the WPD downloads that I watch almost religiously. But surprisingly, there was the kato but no nishi

by the way, I KNOW A LOT OF YOU ARE GOING TO THINK THAT I'M SOOOO OUTDATED AND SOOOOO BEHIND - but i'm a bit of an idiot anyways, so i just thought I'm gonna put in my 2cents' worth and see if i get any response : :bonk: :bonk:

y'see, i've always been a hardcore NEWS fan (well since end 2006) and i've never had interest in other JE bands. recently when NEWS and KAT-TUN were named as BEST ARTISTEs, i was surprised to see that NEWS had a lot more fans from the 10 - 19 age group but KAT-TUN got more of those aged 20 - 30. and to me NAKAMARU seemed a bit 'out' in KAT-TUN so i searched KAT-TUN's pvs on Youtube and i guess i know now why the more mature women prefer KAT-TUN to NEWS......

and I can relate that to the MOLA PV and Koya's kinda sexy-intended solo PV as well : which some people feel are more k-pop than necessary.

i bought the dvd of ryo's movie during the 24hr terebi thingy. the one about the guy with the brain tumor. haven't watched it. guess where i got it from - TESCO AMPANG

do you mean the news winter party diamond concert?

i have a copy of it ^^ but i'm not done watching it ... i have to convince myself to finish watching it...

i have to check them out for the love of ryo-chan hahaha...

though i'm wondering are they as a good as ARASHI???

HELLO

1. actually, i was referring to Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide : as described below

With boy band NEWS hosting this year's annual "24 Hour Television" program on NTV, member Ryo Nishikido (24) has been chosen to star in the telethon's customary drama special. Ryosuke Yamada (16) of Hey! Say! JUMP has also been cast in the show.

The drama is titled "Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide" and is based on a book by writer Masumi Kawakami. Nishikido plays a young man named Keisuke Kawai, who aspired to become a physicist since he was young. His hopeful parents send him to an expensive college prep school, but at the age of 15, during his third year of junior high, he is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Told that he only has one year to live, he falls into despair, giving up on treatment and even lashing out against his own mother. Ultimately, with the support of his family, he struggles with the tumor for eight years before dying at the age of 23.

Keisuke's younger brother will be played by Yamada, while his parents are played by Hitomi Kuroki (48) and Takanori Jinnai (50). Yumi Shirakawa (72) plays the grandmother.

"24 Hour Television" is going on the air on August 29-30. "Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide" will be broadcast on the night of August 29.

:woot:

2. the WPD concert was pretty good. I think - although i am not very knowledgeable - that the WPD concert was one of the best - if not the best - as the members had matured so much and their voices were better. you know, i used to worry about shige singing live during his earlier concerts, but now i can watch him sing with confidence.

besides, i think the WPD concert was really innovative with lots of creative stuff. (well, then again, i may be bias :beaten:)

okay, where is everybody.

second, it kinda of bugs me that people seem to take the entire YAOI NEWS FICs pairing so seriously that they actually dissect and investigate the guys and look down on shige (okay ...these two facts may / may not be in line with each other - but who cares).

Having said that i mean.....the fics are stories written mostly mostly by women....that's why the storylines are like that. and i pity the characters who are actually analysed and criticised simply because the reader does not agree with the pairing.

the world doesn't revolve around our own opinions guys/girls - whether or not some people ARE suited to one another, it's none of our beeswax.

:metaldevil:

i second the motion.. i must say they have really grown so much that it really moved me seeing them perform in NWPD that way and the documentary was really <33333 NewS is really full of member ai..
though i cant compare arashi with NewS.. arshi had been there for 10 yrs.. and they are different from news--- NewS has their own style, charisma and way of performing.. but i hope you'll like them too..

Guys just want to clarify things... the rumor about yamapi and the model plus yamapi and keiko are really RUMORS. YAMAPI already denied it in an interview.

and NEWS looks oh so good this year...

there's an international NewS fan project going on.. I hope all of us could participate... here are the details:

Send A Heart ♥ to NEWS!

Let's celebrate February and Valentine's Day by sending our love!

In recent discussions about missing NEWS and wondering when 6-member activities will return, many fans wondered what we could actually do while waiting.

Can you grab a postcard, a pen, a stamp ...?

Want to send a message of love and support to NEWS and the members?

There are not a lot of things we can do right now but one thing we can do, is write.

Let's celebrate NEWS and Valentine's Day and send a message!

The idea is to send postcards to the addresses below to let them know that we love NEWS, we miss NEWS, we're waiting for NEWS and we're not afraid to admit it!

Simple messages in English are perfectly fine - the suggestion of this post, is that somewhere in your message you include the word NEWS and draw a heart - ♥.

It's a universal symbol. It's a symbol that is used a lot in NEWS songs. And even at a glance, the message of our postcards will be clear.

Postcards remain the best way to do this. Let's see how many we get there by White Day (March 14).

Where should we write?

The following addresses are advertised and publicized for fans to make contact, suggestions, send messages etc. So let's do just that!

What should we write?

Whatever you want, but it's a postcard so keep it short. Say you love NEWS, you miss them, you want a new single, you want a concert tour, you love the Live Diamond dvd, you love Shigemi etc.

You can include your name and your location, your favourite member - just include the word NEWS and a heart ♥.

This is one thing that we can ALL do, no matter where we are in the world.

If you want to join in - please do! Let's make it a fun! Be creative!

Send A Heart ♥ to NEWS!

Shigeaki (NEWS) lands lead role in late-night drama

:dancing: February 12 it was announced that Kato Shigeaki (22) of NEWS will take on his first starring role in a serial drama, as the lead in TV Tokyo's Troubleman. The drama will air late-night Fridays, beginning on April 9. :dancing:

Kato is the second person in NEWS, after Yamashita Tomohisa (24), to play the lead in a serial drama. "I'll try hard to really bring my character to life through my performance," he resolves.

:dancing: The show is a comedy about a man who unwittingly gets dragged into the problems of his apartment neighbors. It marks the first time that cult director SABU (45), of Dangan Runner and Kanikousen (The Cannery Boat) fame will head production on a television drama.

Tegoshi Yuya (22), another NEWS member, starred in the SABU-directed film Shissou in 2005. "I've heard wonderful things about SABU-san from Tegoshi," Kato says. "I'm looking forward to working with him. I'll try my best not to be a trouble man on set."
(translation by gogoberry )

LOL at Yamapi's name appearing in the article, despite his having nothing to do with this.

AND ryo's number 3?

If I may, I would like to humbly quote JE fan, Thennary Nak, who wrote in her blog on 14 FEBRUARY 2010 that :

"Then there's a piece of movie news. Nishikido Ryo will finally get to be a lead actor and will make his film debut in the upcoming movie Chonmage Purin. He will play a samurai that somehow winds up going through time to the modern age and then ends up becoming a pastry chef."

so.....let's see....

(a) shige is the 2nd NEWS member to have a lead role : shige's new drama 'trouble man' starts on 9 April 2010 (isn't that Leader's birthday?)

(b) ryo is 3rd : ryo has his first lead role in a movie (heh heh, did he get beaten to a lead role by shige? :hehe: :hehe: but shige's in a drama series while ryo has a movie, am i right?)

(c) massu has an upcoming sp drama 'sotsu uta'

(d) and did i read that tegomass has a concert coming up? did i get that confused with 2009? Oh dear.....

Well, i hope they have another major concert in 2010, but just don't wait until 2011 for the CDs.

SOMEONE ANSWER ME!

wah.... Thanks lizakajang you live this thread..... jenjen long time no see... hihihi actually me myself also haven't come here quite long time....

Ssorry I couldn't participate with the project....

wah losts of drama.. new single this 24 march was so... in the right time coz I have been waiting to see them so much.... anyone know whats about the single?....

jenjen for the pic.. but I really can't stand with massu hair... hahahaha so funny...

HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THE NEW SAKURA PV?

okay, i know nobody's gonna answer me for the next two decades or so :bonk: (kidding!) - anyways, so what'd you think of the video?

some people hate the white-ish layout but i don't mind it so much - i think it makes it seem kind of 'painting-like' especially shige's scene at the cafe.

i loved their facial expressions - this time even shige somehow MANAGED TO SOMEWHAT APPEAR like he was in real shock rather than just plain confusedly-angry (refer taiyo video) - i think it's an improvement.

and tego crying....and massu's expression when he read the phone message! hmmmm...koya looked pretty good, except when he did his look-to-the-side thingy, which reminded me of taiyo. a lot.

their dance to this song seemed to incorporate cherish and taiyo dance moves a lot....don't you think? not that it's bad....but ....well, it's familiar.

last but not least...(i got other comments but i think those are too minor, kinda) but when they were walking in a line - i saw ryo and thought "NOSE". it seem like his nose was extremely huge in that shot....and his eyes exceedingly small. well, really...that's silly but still....have a look.

:beaten:

Hi ! everyone... I haven't been here like ages...

I know this is NEWS' thread but some of you might have known by now that Kat-tun without Akanishi Jin will be in Bangkok on 31 July as part of the Asia/World Tour :) with Kis-My-Ft2 as guest artists. They will be in Seoul and Taipei too :)

Why didnt you just post that into the Kat-Tun thread?

Stevie wrote:

okay, maybe he/she will post in the Kat-Tun thread. personally, i don't mind kat-tun too much, but i try to focus on NEWS.

and i never thought this possible, but i was just thinking, in MOST videos - (i haven't watched all of Pi's videos) but Yamapi has USUALLY played the cool guy, ne? just thinking, could he be 'the bad guy' or 'the clumsy guy' or just plain 'the guy next door'? I wonder if he could have carried out shige's Papa Musume character .

having said that i wonder if shige could play RYO's characters?

okay....nonsensical rambling. just trying to keep things going a bit.

:naughty: :bonk:
