I really like this actress. She was so natural in 'Beach Boys' and I don't know how old she was then but her teeage angst was well shown. then she did the young piano student with Kimura in 'Long Vacation.' All the time she was really acting the roles so well. When I saw her in 'Shot gun Wedding' she was all grown up and that drama was very satisfactory from all the cast but she was still so good.
I like her so much and she is what I consider a real actor. I feel she enjoys her craft and is working on it all the time. I can imagine that she will go on acting for many years if all goes in that direction. I like the fact that she is not a 'glamour'girl but she is a real actress.

I already have written in other places how much I loved her opening scenes with Kimura in his drama 'Mr Brain.' they work so well together and I would like to see them matched in a romantic comedy. For me she was the perfect sophisticated woman in her appearance and appeal in that memorable opening scene. Very short for her but very memorable.

Well.. I like her.

yeah luv her too, i've posted quite a few pics of her in this thread!
her career was kick started after the academy award winning film OKURIBITO cus before that, she wasn't in the full swing hse is in now cus she was out from acting for a while after she had her son. But her careers s flowing at the moment so let's hope it stays. I say my favourite performance was SUMMER SNOW cus she was so brilliant in it. She was real good in TRIANGLE as well actually, loved that dorama, :woot:

concerning her potential role with Kimutaku, she was meant to be in ENGINE instead of Koyuki, i saw this on another thread. But didnt happen in the end cus she ws doing another dorama.

She is my favourite actress, she's got everything and so glad she's gained back her popularity back over here in JAPAN :victory:

i'm happy that our dear ryoko-chan is back on track..

i just notice that new young actresses in japan are not as good and as credible as ryoko hirosue...hihihi :bonk: :bonk:
