MG was the first ver i've watched (even before the anime itself) and i fell in love with hua ze lei's (rui) character and eventually loved zaizai chou yumin. :mrgreen:

then comes along HYD.

this comes with no bias (because then, i still didn't really know Matsujun or Arashi)...but after watching HYD series...i completely felt the story's different. loved Domyouji to bits! :smitten:
i've seen Domyouji's character in a new light. lolz! sorry but Rui's character seemed to fade in the background (gomen to HZL) and of course i'd fight for Domyouji and Makino forever! :hehe:

anyway...as a whole, i liked HYD better. like what you said, it's concise but all the elements I was looking for in HYD are there :woot:

zaizai: I completely agree with you! Meteor Garden was the first version I watched too and I completely fell in love with Hua Ze Lei and ZaiZai! ...then I watched HYD and I was all about Domyouji.:D
