Oh yeah. Since '84 (not the same pair, though  )... That was one of the first things I had to do after graduating and getting a job: get rid of those Coke bottle eyeglasses... :hehe:

hahahaha, whoa you're like a super contact pro!! I would hope you're not wearing the same pair as you did back then :hehe: :hehe:

What kind do you use? Yearly or like 2 weeks? I have 2 weeks but I've considered going with yearly. Not sure if they feel any better since at the end of my 2 weeks my eyes are usually about to pop out -_-

I use daily wear contacts. It's more of a hassle, sure, but they're pretty robust and not nearly as fragile as the weekly/biweekly types...

Speaking of which, I gotta yank 'em out and soak 'em.

My white cane please... :nut:

I use the two week ones. But they usually last me for two months! :beaten: I'm too cheap to cycle them bi weekly. Trying to conserve here! :beaten: :hehe:

On another note, my friend's friend went to the eye doctor. Now this guy eats sashimi everynight. When he went to the eye doctor, the eye doctor asked him if he ate a lot of raw fish. Then the guy was like, "Yeah, everynight. How do you know?" The doctor told him that he could see parasites in his eye balls. Ewwwwwwwwww.

Hmm. You gotta be careful when doing that: it makes your eyes more subsceptible to infections because of the buildup on the lenses...

Auuugh..... That's nasty.

Oh yeah. I heard about that from my friend on my lunch break today. The guy couldn't wait to tell me later.

I know what you mean. In high school, I was less careful and when I went to the eye doctor, he told me I have some scars on my eyes. Was from the dirty lenses.
I try to clean them nightly. I change them whenever they start to loose their form or when I rip 'em when I'm cleaning them.

AHAHAHAHAHAH OMG man, that's hella bad for you! :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

I remember I tried that at first, I would get them to like 3 weeks but by then i would be like dying. My eyes just couldn't breathe :beaten:

Nowadays I get rid of them right at 2 weeks. I wear them a lot, like 7 days a week for 14 hours each day so I get my money's worth I guess :hehe:

Hmm maybe we should start a contact thread, lol

Yes, it is! :beaten: But I'm saving some money here, so it's all good! :hehe:

I've gotten used to that feeling already! :beaten: It doesn't bother me all that much nowadays.

IMO Stretch that money as far as you can! :P

eltinator wrote:Hmm maybe we should start a contact thread, lol
No need to. Since we've gone off topic, I bet one of the mods of this forum are gonna split us and this conversation into it's own topic.

IMO it's almost impossible to stay based on a particular subject throughout the whole thread. Especially if the thread gets longer than 4 pages or so. ALL the threads here have gone off topic at least twice or so. Splitting them up now will just be a waste of time IMO

But yeah, Uploadit! is the best free webspace IMO. And even for a little chump change, users can get the full benefits of it!

I know what you mean: I put mine in at 6AM and don't take 'em out until 10 or 11PM... :hehe:

Yes. As I mentioned before, Photobucket isn't too shabby either. A great backup image host to have. :D

it IS creepy and cool at the same time. you can actually smell flesh burning at the session...BTW, where i have it done is where tiger woods had his done. not that it matters, if the doc "effs" up, he "effs" up, right?
