YES! Try out www.imagestation.com you guys! The links have NEVER failed for me, and there is no limit to how much you can upload, and there is no limit for number of uploads a day! Best of all, it's all free, and the whole thing is indexed as an album, and you can have multiple albums for organization. The server lets you upload as many 36 (!) files at a time too, so what are you waiting for?

End Shameless plug

What about tripod / lycos ? Not good ? Before I got me super Webspace I was using lycos all the time for linking my pics and there wasn't any problem. (You just should upload a index.html to seem like you also use the space for a website ;) ) Well 4 of my 5 accounts were banned LOL but I would suggest it anyway. I think you get 25 or 50 mb (I was using the German one so can differ from the US one)

Definitely worth a look. :D

I tried imagestation but the site itself is a bit sluggish and the links are quite long like in yahoo briefcase with those additional hash characters and such... I havent tested anymore if its like yahoo briefcase where the links changes every few hours. :(
BTW.
I'm referring to the actual picture links and not the page links.

The site can be a bit sluggish, I'll give you that, and the link being long? Just highlight it and copy/paste, that doesn't seem too hard does it? The links DON'T CHANGE, EVER. If that were the case, then the other forum I post at would not have my signature pic up and all the other pictures I posted there would be replaced by big red X's lol

I don't know, just give it a chance, if not for the pages lagging a bit, it'd be just about perfect.

oh, the links doesnt change - thats good. The reason i mentioned the links being long is because there usually is a signature length limit so the longer the links, the less text you can put in ur sig.

Anyway, thanks for the info. and the site does looks pretty nice with lots of tools u can use...

No prob Arnel, though I never did think of the character limit in the siggy area. I MUST commend you on the AWESOME work in the avatar and sig though, truely cool! What do you use to do that, Adobe programs?

Very impressive! Like I've said before, you are the animated gif maven! :applaud:

Thanks bmwracer! Making the yukie wallpapers last week did come in handy since I learned the perspective transform tool. hehehe...
Removed some animations/frames and now my gifs are less than half the filesize of what they used to be (hopefully abit more dialup friendly). :)

BTW.
Looks like domaindlx no longer allows remote linking (based on what happened to niko2x's gif).

I see quiet a few ppl whose signs are off or showing anti link pics >_< Well if you want I can share the signs of those who currently have some probs with their space for a while. (Until they find a alternativer I could pit up the Sign + Avatar) I don't think it will be that much traffic.

I've gotta do that to some of mine as well. Hmm, I've got an copy of GIF Animator 3. Maybe I should install it and try it out...

here's a list
1) webpost.net - very fast. only once did i experience downtime. only 1 mb space though and i dont know the bandwidth limit.
2) uploadit.org - unlimited bw. 5 uploads/day. the pay version is unlimited uploads and includes the random ava generator option.
3) imagestation - lots of tools but a bit sluggish.
btw. bedi is offering to host user avas/sig until they find a permanent host.

these sites are worth checking out, they claim to allow hotlinking:

http://www.sighost.us <= i just opened a free account. it looks good
http://www.freepgs.com <= it has limited bandwidth though
http://ihost.it-mate.co.uk <= haven't uploaded anything at the moment. i will try to use my signature picture here
