Was there a rumour that there was going to be a special? Because it doesn't seem probable...

Uh, there was a special, between Hotman1 and Hotman2. Better than most specials IMHO, probably because it had all the original cast. [/list:u]

So did Kuitan, but the Special stunk for the most part.

I wish Konishi Manami was in part 2 too, it won't be the same without her :shakehead:

Also no Akiko Yada, although they do bring in Miho Shiraishi who is a much better actress IMHO. [/list:u]

Too bad Yada Akiko got knocked up and the next time she acts you'll probably be wearing Depends undergarments.....zan nen desu.

I forget who that guy is that she's married to, but from what I can gather, he's a total dickhead. I think Yada might end up like Yuko Takeuchi, stopping off at the Rikon Bengoshi while she's on her way to the maternity ward. :shakehead:

Hotman 1 was the first drama I ever watched, this is the one that got me hooked!! :woot:

The only complaint I had was:
Spoiler — click to revealIn episode 7 when Sorimachi chases all the kids out of the house and makes them leave. Couldn't he just have asked them to go back to their parents' in a nice way, that it's only temporary until the house gets rebuilt?

But then, I guess if he'd done that we wouldn't have the obligatory "Sorimachi frothing at the mouth" scene.

I was thinking about that. Near the end of episode 10, Enzo, Misuzu, and Shima go over to this one girl's house that used to be Enzo's girlfriend but they find out she's got a little boy the same age as Nanami so they assume she can't be Nanami's Mom.

But what if that little boy and Nanami are fraternal twins and she gave up one because she knew she couldn't raise both of them?

I think we need a Hotman 3 to clear all this up.

But ONLY if Akiko Yada, Manami Konishi, and Yui Ichikawa all come back!!

Remember Nana Yamauchi (she now goes by Hinata Nanami) who played little Nanami? To quote Jethro Bodine, "she done growed up!!":
