well i believe many idols often become actresses......aya ueto, erika toda, rie miyazawa, satomi ishihara just to name a few ...these females began modeling and generating interest through photobooks and dvds before turning to careers in acting...

i see your point though...i just think the distinction is blurred in some instances...because idol tends to refer to a type of celebrity in Japan who achieves popularity and fame in Japan largely by virtue of her looks, but they often parlay that into a larger entertainment career.

In any case, it's right on Chuo-dori (Main st) of Akihabara, so I might be able to find somethings on Rina (older movies and such). Although, I thought qilver went to a store that sold goods on artistes.... :headscratch:

I defer to your definition of an idol...re: qilver, well if that's the case I would imagine he would have some info that would be helpful regarding your hunt for Rina merchandise.
