BMW, Windows XP SP1A with all the patches (but including SP2) is safe and better than Windows 2000 Pro SP4. Take it from a professional S.E. WinXP has been out for quite a while now, it's safe.

Thanks, PCM, but until they cut off support for Win2K (like they did for NT) I'll stick with it... It's been rock solid for me. :D

wait so is SP2 good to download or not? I'm still on SP1a and I wanted to have some users test out SP2 before I do anything.

I know this isnt the place to put this but people have said that its not as good as all the hype it has gotten... Ive read that a lot of people didnt like it and went back to sp1... I think its still rather new so they havent worked all the bugs out yet....

No, stay away from SP2 for Windows XP.

It's not worth the hassles. We're keeping our company away from it as much as possible at present.

P.S. - :yell: Go Rina-chan!

Hahaha ok, I'll stick with SP1a for now then. Haven't had any problems with SP1a so no need to fix the comp if it isn't broken. Although I think I'm going to be doing a complete hardware upgrade soon :D

LoL, yea 3ghz isn't too bad but mine isn't a Prescott! That and intel is offering me a 915 motherboard with a 3.4ghz prescott for $270 :D

And yea we need more Rina pics! :hehe:

The 915 has the pci express rite?? Man creating these new chipsets makes a barrier for the older cpus.... Its like a new pin configuration for the new cpus with that hi-tech cpu slot.... :shakehead:
