It's stiff and awkward, mainly it's just two guys playing around in leather pants and having more make-up on than what I wear Friday-nights.

Nothing wrong with that, and as simple entertainment, you could make a worse choice.

And "eh" for the Gacktjob.. Ryu's been gone like.. what? over a year?
And Ju-Ken's touring with Anna atm, plus he seems to have started also an own project (which sounds insanely good btw). He is, however, still considered as a bassist of Gj. Gackt's had Nell replacing him lately.

Gackt's also recording a new original album atm.

First, Hyde doesn't wear a lot of make up and he wasn't wearing alot in the film :rant:, secondly I disagree its true that MoonChild is a film for boys, I found it sensitive story between Kei and Shoo was overshadowed by the wrongly placed Gangster rubbish ÊÊ, but the film on a whole is quality and both Hyde and Gackts acting is superb, on the contrery, the guy that played Toshi and that actress, spoilt it and its true that it did have some cringe worthy dialogue and a couple of chessy moments :hehe:, but it had a lot of heart far more than those stupid hollewood (how do you spell that 0.0) blockbusters........Okie end of ranting opinion LOL

I think I could enjoy the film - any film I watch doesn't have to be really serious or arty. I like good old entertainment, and Moon Child sounds like that. :D

I do not mean maked-up the style L'arc was in 1999~, but he did have a lot.
Don't know what what kind of quality the versions floating around are, but I have the DVD and can tell.
Didn't either say it's a bad thing, just doesn't serve the purpose of being a gangster.
And your "ganster rubbish" was what Gackt concentrated on and made a big deal when making this movie back then.
He's himself said that he wanted the story to be about fighting since he himself wanted to act like "guys in a guys' movie, playing around with guns etc."

The fangirl-audience did take it all out on the aspect of Gackt and Hyde together on screen ;)

ŽR–{‘¾˜Y [Yamamoto Taro], who acted as Toshi, is a hell of an actor. He didn't shine in MC, but Gackt scripted his role as it was.
