Just to clarify. Should those artists jump to mainstream Japanese entertainment (for example appear in a movie or drama) then they could have their own thread?

As far as the current gravures that are in this forum, if they have been involved in the production od a drama or a movie, then yes it would be safe to say that they will retain their threads. Otherwise, it may be locked pending discussion in the near future.

Also, keep in mind that it's not just the person appearing in the image that matters... Jdorama-related or not, if the person is in a pose or is displaying something that is of questionable taste, then the mods will have to take action on the image. I don't want to get into details about the definition/criteria of tasteless poses or content, so please have confidence in the mods and their decisions. And, as Akakage mentioned, please send any concerns/complaints via PM.

Well, if Jdorama.com allows users to talk about and post material related to the NFL, MLB, and virtually any other topic, then why not Nana? On the other hand, an important point has been made with respect to attracting hackers and serious perv's, etc.

Ultimately, though, it's Genma's site. If he says no, then I'm cool with it.

Huh? I don't think you actually get the big picture here. Let me explain...

Genma's number 1 and 2 objectives are:

1) To preserve JDorama.com's integrity on the Internet and to keep it a family-friendly environment.

2) To preserve JDorama.com's primary objective as being a source for Japanese Drama entertainment, but also allow other family-friendly topics if they're posted in a location where it does not interfere with the site's primary objective.

Genma created the General Discussions section so that it separates the non-drama discussions from the drama discussions. Based on your quote, you believe its the subject matter that the mods are censoring. No, that's not it. What we are basically doing are two things:

A) Cleaning up existing content within the topics.

B) Being pro-active by avoiding possible non-family-friendly content based on the relationship between the artiste and the industry he/she is in.

In point B, JAV is clearly defined around the World as being non-family-friendly on all levels. Nana may have her eyes set on other aspects of entertainment in the near future, however she is still clearly a JAV artist. Even if she has family-friendly images, the fact that she represents a non-family-oriented line of entertainment could possibly draw non-Jdorama fans to JDorama.com and basically start creating a hostile environment. Again, Akakage pro-actively shot down what could have turned into something Genma just doesn't want.

Now, others can argue that professional sports are not family-friendly. However, the large majority of the World does agree that organizations like MLB, NBA, NFL, etc. are family-friendly, despite some events within these orgs. That's why Genma and the mods allow professional sports to be dicussed on JDorama.com, and not JAV or other pr0n content.

Sorry to flood Rena's topic with this, but I had to clarify this. If anyone has comments, please PM to any of the mods or Genma.

AV artiste has no relation to Jdorama and the main purpose, as has been mentioned by niko2x above, is to promote jdorama.
