still got some songs missing.. hmm..

ayukawa22 wrote:still got some songs missing.. hmm..

I've only watched the first 4 & 1/2 episodes...

Off the top of my head I remember hearing:

I Was Born To Love You
We Will Rock You
Fat Bottomed Girls
Friends Will Be Friends
Another One Bites The Dust
Somebody to Love
Who Wants to Live Forever

I think someone earlier in this thread did a posting about the Queen songs, listing them by episode.

Edited my post coz I realised I was the one who posted the list last year. Thanks pcmodem for reminding. Haha~ :hehe:

Shall post this up again then. The numbers in brackets denotes the episode where the song was first being played.

I Was Born to Love You (Theme Song)
We Will Rock You (1)
Fat Bottomed Girls (1)
Long Away (1)
Headlong (1)
Dear Friends (1)
Crazy Little Thing Called Love (2)
Too Much Love Will Kill You (2)
You're My Best Friend (2)
Friends Will Be Friends (3)
Somebody To Love (4)
Another One Bites the Dust (4)
Let Me Live (5)
Who Wants To Live Forever (5)
Party (6)
Dancer (6)
Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy (6)
Misfire (7)
Man On The Prowl (7)
These Are The Days Of Our Lives (Last Ep)
Bohemian Rhapsody (Last Ep)
We Are The Champions (Last Ep)

Bohemian Rhapsody and Somebody to Love are my favourite songs in the whole list that "Pride" used. I'm pretty satisfied with the songs that the crew chose coz I like Queen's songs a lot.

I'm surprised you could recognize all of those songs.

I've heard Queen since I was a kid and don't recognize many of them.

Pride is now up to episode 3 on the JTV website, with episode 4 soon to come. It is the DVD version so the quality is high.

Is it too much to ask that the subtitles be really good this time?
Have you watched them yet?

I'm almost certain it's much better than the version you have seen. I'm in the process of downloading it. If you want a preview version of episode 1 via CD, let me know.

The subtitles on the DVD version for the one we saw, Eve, crack me up.

They translated it into Chinese first, then to English.

That's why you see all of the him/her grammatical errors, as well as things like calling Kimura's character, Halu, as Ching. :hehe:

Thankfully, I understand Cantonese grammar patterns and still know chotto nihongo, so I can get by. :drink:

I have purposely avoided that version of Pride for that reason. I was getting the FOB version, but it seems to have stopped. At least this one is coming out.

...Sharks? as in the San Jose-NHL-why are they not playing Sharks?

Thanks for reminding me. :mecry:

Coincidentally, went to look at a new pair of (hockey) blades, the 04's are on sale. :yippee:

I'm waiting for them to settle this labor dispute. :grumble: Meanwhile, Pride is the only thing I watch that has hockey.

My amigo Mike plays for the Grizzlies, a local amateur league team. Though their season is done. :)

Actually... I could only recognise about half of the songs in the list..

As for the others, there's a chinese forum that listed out songs that were featured in the drama. That's how I got to know roughly the whole songs that were used and added them into my own list. ^_^
