I don't think so....that role was supposed to be played by Ryoko Hirosue but she got knocked up so they picked Koyuki instead....as much as you hate Kimura Takuya every female counterpart that has played opposite him as actually shined....Tomoko Yamaguchi, Matsu Takako, Yuko Takeuchi, Miho Kanno, Eri Fukatsu, Kyoko Hasegawa, etc.

as long as the woman is really popular...he always seem to act alongside women who have hit their stride and are near the zenith of their popularity.
