I did absolutely nothing but "selective customer service" all day, ie, pretend that women like me and flirt under the guise of helping them find shampoo.

The managers are all running around with goofy grins and about to pee in their pants because we accomplished some goal/quota they had set. I told my boss, "My only goal is to get out of here with my sanity everyday :beatyou: "

I was just informed that I'll have to team-teach with the most anal teacher I have ever met. Our teaching styles are nothing alike, but apparently she "requested" to have me teach with her so she can check out how much I know about Macs.

Hmmm, could be interesting. Depending on how much SHE KNOWS about Macs, be prepared for, "How come you did it that way?" or "That's not how I would do it" If that turns out to be the case, remember the words of Thomas Jefferson, "When angry count to 10 before speaking, when very angry, count to 100"

That's the problem, she knows A LOT! She's really Mac savvy, and although I'm certain I'm more artistically inclined than she is, she knows more about the software.

And she's a cold teacher. Very professional and hard. I'm not like that at all. She once peeved on me because I had students visit me during lunch. It's not my fault teenagers find me approachable.

that's the thing with workplace environments...
you always have those type of a**holes...you have to deal with, unfortunately.
even worse, if they are your boss...
co-worker wouldn't be as bad...
i guess some people are just cold as ice in their personalities, while others thankfully are easy to get along with and make the work day much better.

She's not my boss, exactly, but she did hire me. She was the head of department when I came in. But the admin forced her to "step down" for unknown reasons. She's actually nice OUTSIDE of work, and I know she had a good heart, but... I dunno. She's so intimidating. I guess because I used to be her student, she now has these high expectations for me and I'm afraid I won't reach them.

In that case just try to keep in mind how much you can learn from her. I remember once I had to work with this guy who was really knowledgable, but he had the people skills of Captain Bligh! Did manage to pickup a lot of useful stuff, but it weren't easy  [/list:u]

I'll try to keep this in mind. Besides, as a teacher, I've acquired two skills: being patient, and being a masochist. :victory:
