outsourcing is soooo overrated :shakehead:

the time you have to spend (maybe waste is a better word) to get something done, not to mention frustration... :bleh:

The CEO's don't think it's overrated. (Gotta get the money for those 7 figure bonuses somewhere) [/list:u]

Yikes... on a brighter note (for me, anyway), I didn't have to go to work today! :woot:

I mean, I went for two hours anyways because I had to calculate final marks, but that's it. :dancing:

yeah, all they care is about earning bigger bonus while skimping on manpower. The less people they have on the payroll the better, while they hire $200/hour consultants because those are booked on another budget (typically projects) IMO it's just a waste, those overpaid consultants earn my monthly paycheck in like 2 days :usuck:

btw, I had such a lousy day at work today :puppydog:

Yep, until recently I actually enjoyed working with consultants, fresh input and truly added value - but nowadays they come in as quick fixes :shakehead:

Sensei didn't have to work today either. Is there some "Former British Colonies Holiday"??? No fair!!! WE used to be a British Colony! Just 'cause we got a little pissed off about it is no reason for us to be left out!!! :grumble: [/list:u]

Well, yesterday (Monday) was Australia Day (well, the holiday day since it fell on Saturday) but i'm actually on 2 weeks holiday. A perfect time for my comp to cark it :banghead: On a brighter note, it means more time to watch doramas... and play the PS2 :victory:

LOL! I'm not actually on "holiday". We get a day off for every class we have to mark exams for, which is an afaik deal because I had to mark two exams per class. Anyways, I only took two days off, even tho I have three classes. I marked all one day, decided to enjoy the other. :D

I STILL hate my immediate coworkers. Except the pre-merger ones, they're still cool.

Fortunately, i've finally been invited to the monday pizza luncheon. It only took me 6 years to get in on the weekly invite list.

I don't usually swear (unless in context :naughty:) so it's fun using replacement terms. Afaik is more satisfying than saying "crap". :hehe: And besides, only some people get it, and that's fun too.

So I just did a corporate presentation.

I was sooo nervous. I hope they didn't notice!

UGH! My marks were due YESTERDAY and no one told me! :banghead:

Everytime a take a minute or so to talk to our secretary about something, my dumbass boss comes by to spy on the conversation....

What a nosy, petty little puke she is. :shakehead:

my work colleague had his bonus taken off his wages this week and was ranting about it. i couldn't be sympathetic as i'm the one doing 70% of the work.

Is that why he got his bonus taken away?

Tomorrow is the first day of the New Semester and I have NOTHING ready for the first day of classes... hence why I'm hoping for a snow day. >>fingers crossed<<
