Usually it's CNN, so no lips to read, though i can usually just read the scrolling thingy... or it's cartoons, which is hard to lipread.

lol I cant say anything bad about work right now having just FINALLY seen my online Pay Stub so far :D

Blegh. I have some issues w/ my caseload. I got a client about 2 months ago who is homeless. I can't find him because I obviously have no address. He hasn't been seen at any local shelters in over 1 month. I can't even send a 30 day closure letter because I have no address. Never met him. Hope he didn't drink himself to death while on my caseload. I already had one of those.

Then, I got a client who DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. This will be weird. She speaks Spanish. I took 7 years of Spanish. However, I haven't spoken it in well over 3 years, and I started taking Japanese towards the end of my Spanish education which was already slowly declining due to my lack of use. I was told that even if I spoke enough Spanish or got my skills back by brushing up, I'm not allowed to speak to her in her own language due to liability's sake (in case misunderstandings occur, or mistranslations). So, I pretty much got her because I didn't list Spanish as a skill BECAUSE it's not a skill I have. I don't know how I'm supposed to perform any services for this chick if I can't communicate without a hired translator :grumble: Plus, yeah, wouldn't I be liable if she called me saying she was gonna commit suicide and I did nothing because I couldn't understand her? WTF?

Due to the same reason, I will not get any Japanese-only speaking clients because I have a minor in the language. Kinda sucks, woulda been fun to practice and get back into it.

Then I got an 18 year old with Intermittent Explosive Disorder (related to impulse control disorder but more specific I guess). Oh crap, this will be fun too. A cutter and an attention-seeking borderline :bleh:

I have this really easy guy, but it's pretty annoying that he's a hardcore alcoholic. When I do surprise visits, he's always drunk and obnoxious. I hate dealing with drunks. He drinks a case of Natty Ice 5-7 days per week. He doesn't want rehab and doesn't want to stop either, although he already has a swollen liver. Eh, can't make 'im quit, he's an adult. But he annoys me when he's drunk because he falls, doesn't pay attention, and I can't get my work for him done.

Then, I have another lady who purposely sabotages everything she has going for her just to call and whine about how much life sucks and that you have to come to her rescue. She has diabetes and refuses to monitor it. She is 350+ pounds. She sits around eating sweets and not checking her blood sugar or taking insulin regularly. She can't walk and her legs are purple and black w/ sores on them. I think they need to be amputated at some point but she refuses to address them or seek treatment.

Lots of changes coming up @ my job soon :puppydog: 1 girl transferred to another department starting Monday. She has 2 nightmare clients who we are all scared as hell of getting.

Another girl is leaving the company in 2 weeks. She completed her grad work and can practice as a therapist now.

My supervisor stepped down, kinda demoting himself in order to get our flexible schedule and do grad work, so he'll be 1 of us again. We are all scared of who we're gonna get b/c most the other supervisors SUCK. Mine is really anal, but still one of the better supervisors.

On another note, I'm hoping to be able to get a better car once those other 2 chicks leave.

I'm tired of working. I just want to retire already.
Either that, or I'll get my doctor to write me a note saying I'm disabled and start collecting welfare. :hehe: :nut:

No problems for the past three weeks...

That's 'cause the Queen of Misery/Mrs. Micromanagement/Anal Queen has been on vacation...

Ahh, if she would only retire... But that won't happen, 'cause she won't have anyone to boss around and/or micromanage...

he seems to be gauging interest without "losing face", seems like you'd have a good position for some negotiations.

Working tech support help desk. Why are there so many stupid people in the world? I don't mean stupid from a technical standpoint, just a total lack of common sense or being able to think for themselves :banghead:

Think of it this way, if it weren't for them, you wouldn't have a job.
