No need to go that far, stop the Aya-cult, and I think she won't appreciate to be the goddess of a new religion.
I know Aya is exceptional, but I especially deplore above all that too few people have this joy of life, this kindness, and this intelligence too. Many people should take her as an example (I didn't say to copy her).
I'm saying that Aya-chan is not the only one able on earth to direct her love towards you, towards "her" closed loved one off stage. Other girls/people just need a sort of "activation", that's what I think (and i hope it's true  ) Just do ur best to transmit this joy, don't only focus on Aya-chan, coz actually her joy IS also directed to closed love ones, there's no specualtion to make about it. Ur questions with "wouldn't it be... if ... could .... ?" form have no sense.
AND of course our feeling toward Mrs Ueto-san will go stronger. With times, tastes refine themselves. Isn't it obvious :shamefulcry: ?
Hi Sangohan,
As you say...you know Aya is exceptional and appreciate her joy, kindness etc. So far so good.
But then you say
> "Ur questions with 'wouldn't it be...if ... could...?" form have no sense"
REALLY?? I disagree! Let's take a more careful look at those questions...
"Wouldn't it be wonderful if Aya really WAS the girl she portrays publicly?"
We're on this "fan" list together because we don't have any REAL access or connection to Aya. And I know you would be the first to agree that none of us really know her. Many of us (myself included) don't even speak her language. The only glimpse we get of the "real" Aya are the occassional "making of ..." videos that show her backstage. But even backstage when she knows she's on camera she's still "onstage". Celebrities OFTEN portray one thing publicly but have a very different reality--often leading painful, screwed-up lives. Karen Carpenter is a great example - the world's sweatheart! ... but privately she lived a tortured, lonely existance and suffered from eating disorders. In the end she killed herself believing no-one loved her and that she was unloveable! I'm sure you can think of other more recent examples.
So it is far from obvious that the sweet, joyful Aya on camera is what she is really like. But as I said...I believe she is... and wouldn't it be wonderful if I'm right!
Now the next question is even more crucial...
"Wouldn't it be wonderful if the same joy she pours so easily into a camera lens could also be directed towards a close loved one off stage?"
When Aya, on cue, manufactures her amazing smile, I think to myself, how would it be if she really smiled that way at me?
Far too often in life we reserve our smiles, graciousness and charm for strangers and the public, but treat family members and loved ones like an old shoe. You've probably experienced times when someone was surly and stone-faced with you, but the moment they got on the phone to talk to someone from school, church, or a work associate they suddenly became animated and put a smile in their voice and on their face.
So it is NOT at all clear that Aya projects those same smiles and that same incredible energy and joy towards those she interacts with on a daily basis.
While this is a very common behaviour, it's a pattern I want to break. I want a relationship where the woman I love and I always greet each other with smiles, hugs and the joy of seeing each other again. Believe me this is NOT the norm.
Now the final question is the most important of all...
"Wouldn't it be wonderful if the feeling we have for her would not diminish through familiarity and frequency, but instead grow stronger, richer through time and shared experience?"
You say, "of course our feeling toward Mrs Ueto-san will go stronger." If you think that then you haven't experienced much yet. My friend, there is most definately no "of course" about this!
Most people "fall in love", get married and then proceed to fall out of love. They start seeing the weaknesses and flaws in their partner. They take their partner for granted. They lose whatever romantic spark they had. Here in the United States 50% of all marriages end in divorce! And do you think that the 50% that stay married are deeply in love? Not a chance! A large percentage of those that remain married do so out of responsibility to children, for financial reasons, or because they don't want to rock the boat.
Now there ARE couples that stay blind to each other's faults, that see the best in each other, that bring out the best in each other, that treat each other with a sacred love and trust. They cultivate their love like a precious garden and reap the fruits of it. However this kind of incredible love that deepens over time is rare and the exception. That's why I said, "Wouldn't it be wonderful if...."
Sangohan, there is NO "Aya-cult" however some of us are completely in love with Aya--or at least the way we imagine her to be.
Of course you're right that the world is full of wonderful girls, and given a chance to blossom or to be "activated" as you said they too would shine on the world's stage...
However, speaking for myself, I have never encountered a woman who affects me the way she does. I have known about Aya for close to four years now. Literally from the first moment I saw her I had an uncanny and startling attraction and surge of feelings for her. From that moment until this moment these feelings have only grown stronger and deeper. So for ME she is the only woman.
