No need to say, I can easily guess when it concerns you. :hehe: Yep the close ups are so lovely. I like around 3:55 when the music suddelny stops for 0.5 second meanwhile Aya closes her eyes. When she reopens them, in harmony with the music, it's absolutely gorgeous. And u realize how much you love these eyes. Well you only get a bit closer to the truth, sort of. Like an opened door which let Light go in for 0.5 sec.

They all look somewhat "alike" and are in many cases you canLt say for sure if a person is Japanese, Korean or Chinese. Same as with Germans, French or British people, for example.
And, hey, there are plenty of great looking chinese girls! I love Gillian Chung or Ziyi Zhang, for example :mrgreen:

err sry I meant "2 chinese faces can be sooooooo alike (especially for female celebrities) , but by some mystery one can be totally ugly and the other too lovely". No worries, I recognize a chinese from the south part of china when I see one. Same go for one coming from the north part. But I don't know anything about chinese minorities. Would like to see how are the people in the Yunnan provincia for exmaple.

Nahhh. Korean people have specific look-likes somehow. Even if most of the korean celebrities are alike to a certain point, I've seen some "normal" korean people who are my friend's penpal. Well, there are different than on tv. If I may say, about korean guys, there's the guy-from-sassy-girl type, and the serious-and-sad-love-drama-guy (like hotelier), roughly said.
Japanese, (or nihongo I don't want to be offensive) have also specific characters on the face. Yet there are also different. I dunno how to explain, but there's no way to confuse a chinese from a korean or a japanese.

Neithertheless, in Liu Yi Fei's case there's somewhat a big resemblance to the woman I know. Yet I find her ugly whereas I find lovely the woman I know. That is wierd.

Hmmmm about french birtish and german well, I don't know much as there are not really british people and german here. But when I was in high school, my class and I went to several trips to Roma, South Africa and australia. And well we did make the difference between us and them, and between a white south african and an australian or an italian. Somehow. Beyond the langage there's something. Of course If u ask me about immigrees I can't guess their nationality, I'd tell you rather his origins being given my knowledge, which resumes only the countries I ever visited.

See what I mean ? Ok with the make up they are twins ok, but even without ...... both faces themselves share some resemblances. However for some reason I do prefer Charlene Choi's face than Gillian Chung's. 10 times more. Edit : I'm not saying she is "hot". So don't beat me because I'm in the Aya thread :mrgreen:

The looklike is somewhat fake when both persons are not from the same ethnicity. Remember that HK singer (forgot her name) said to resemble Aya-san ? It's ok, but there's no way to mix up the 2 !!!!!!! Whereas Chung and Choi are both cantonese : it's a bit harder.
My father himself is often mistaken for another (chinese) man living here !!!! Even his wife (my mom :mrgreen: ) does agree !!!!! However I myself, even if I have a chinese face, cannot be mistaken for my father. Sometimes there's wierd things. But I guess the fact that man is from the same etnicity than me and my father (cantonese) has something to do with it. You cannot deny several thousand years of genetic mixing of a people among itself. I'm speaking about cantonese people for example. But I suppose that works too for korean people. There are numerous and living since thousands of years in the same area. Like the cantonese. Same goes for Japan : I think a japanese guy from south of japan can recognize one coming from Hokkaido !!!
Moreover Asia hasn't been as much as invaded than Europe or Africa (Africa's history and politic is a complete maze. If u want to understang anything, u have to think by terms of "peoples" / "tribes" and NOT in terms of "country" ) Thanks to the Great Wall of china, to the Gobi desert, and to himalaya. Okay u'll tell me about the japanese invasion and all ~ but that is too recent, only a century at most ! The genetic mix isn't that huge.

Europe is different. Its history is full of borders's changing since antiquity, (either war inside europe, or invasion from the east and south) there's a big big big face's diversity :nut: (except if u go long way to the north lol) Sooo genetically speaking yeah Freefall you may be right, NO difference can be made at first sight between french german and british for example. NEITHERTHELESS an Italian CANNOT be french. Too much different manners. Same, british is so british ~ It's an unique manner of living, behaviours and all. It's EASY to recognize. That is Europe, beyond the basic division "anglo saxons/ latins / germanic " there's several cultural gaps. Just look at what are the European Union difficulties to govern with 27 countries !!! Each of the 27 has his own view on the law !!!!
However about recognizing asian people by their manner of living and not their face, well I need more travels to talk but a word about that. :sweat:
