Yes, but somehow she sounds completely different when speaking english. In Hotelier #1 she sounded cold and harsh in that scene. Quite different from what we are used to know Aya. ThatLs also one of the facts why I had to get used to her role in Hotelier first

Many chinese papers in HK and the mainland also reported this news. It seems that quite true. But as Freefall said, if it's really the case, why there's no news from oscarpro???????

If you haven't already, start by learning the Katakana and Hiragana.

After that, start with some simple phrases such as Ohayo, Konnichiwa, and such.

Learn the greetings as well....
such as this one

Hajimemashite, watashi wa 'your name here' *Hajimemashite is used when you first meet someone you haven't met before. Still this sentence is translated as "Nice to meet you. I am _______"
Then you can add Douzo Yoroshiku or just Yoroshiku. *No real translation for this one......at least I don't know how to translate Yoroshiku since its used in many ways*

Edit: This thread might be helpful for you. I haven't checked it out yet, but i think maybe you would like to check it out.

if you want to learn a language just go for it. the greatest challenge in learning a language is motivation. sometimes it can be slow going and test you but if you really want to learn just go for it.
i would recommend getting a book that comes with a cd so you say the words correctly. i would also recommend you try the spoken word first, at least for a while, before starting the writing.
if anyone tells you not to teach yourself ignore them lol, you can teach yourself a language. of course a class is best but you can do it alone.
i can speak and write quite a bit of japanese and have never been to a single lesson. the japanese girl i work with said my japanese is perfect and easy to understand unlike most people who go to classes! she couldn't believe i taught myself.
but just keep at it is the best advice. make plenty of mistakes lol, thats where you learn from!

Hmm, I'm currently learning Japanese in a Language School and after learning from there, I guess self study is possible but its rather difficult especially unless u got Japanese friend to guide you on the way, if not it would be rather tough, but still possible. Perhap you could start practising hiragana and katakana and get yourself some basic textbook and a dictionary? the grammer part would get tougher as it goes.

yes it is difficult without someone who is japanese to practice with. i was learning japanese for about a year without even speaking to a japanese person so i'm well chuffed that i can be understood perfectly first time haha.
you could put an ad somewhere saying that you are studying japanese and want someone to practice with. as i daresay there are japanese people learning your language who would like the practice too
anyway this is off topic so i won't comment again about it ok?

But I must admit that I staill have a few probs with Aya in that role. But after all I only saw 2 episodes.

ILm just listening to the new Linkin Park CD. Damn the second song "Given up" is just awesome!! I got it on repeat for the 5th time now and havenLt even heart the whole CD :hehe:

I'm back!

Any aya fan should watch Hotelier. It's a great show. Me and my mom are watching it together and we're pretty hooked. We can't wait for ep 4. Things aren't ACTION PACKED but it's more like dramatic and like OMG and stuff like that. I like her role in the show though. Still a bit goofy and not too uptight like I thought she would be. I want her to be my manager!

I should be able to scan tonight or tomorrow. No school tomorrow! :woot:

Does everyone in Japan seriously constantly tell each other to 'Do your best'?

And why does everyone Japanese show I've ever seen, TV or movie, have the WORST English speaking actors in the world? Man, that guy in Ep 1 who ran the Korean hotel was horrible. I half think that they don't even get native English speakers for the parts, just some white gaijin who will fit the bill. I should move over there and audition for parts. I'm no pro actor but I did play Jesus a couple of times :applaud:

Aya - cute/hot as ever. That girl seems so sincere. I'm suddenly back in long-haired Aya mode as well. It's like a carnival ride.

Well.. I couldn't find her in Hawaii when they came down... :banghead::banghead::banghead: well.. on my Schedule was pretty hectic that time. And Seeing that AP Special and the Places they was shooting made me more Irritated.. Cause I know every place they shot it. I can probably re-edit it and add me inside the drama LOL... Still Irked till this day. That I could least spotted her in Hawaii. :beatyou: :beatyou: :beatyou:

ILm not sure but I think it might have to do with their native language beeing "somewhat different" in some way from english that makes the spelling difficult for them. Koreans donLt seem to have that much problems , I think.

That fact, to see her in places where I live, and not been able to meet her, would kill me

The Koreans in my japanese class can speak japanese best. Most likely is because their accents are very similar. So when they say japanese words, it sounds more "japanese". I thought those koreans were japanese americans at first!
