Thanks! Maybe ILll try to translate these into english somehow.
Too bad that there are no more english subs. :shamefulcry: I mean itLs nice to see that someone is making subs for the chinese fans but most western fans understand neither japanese nor chinese. But english subs could be understood by most people around the world, coudnLt they?

A lot of Asian/Chinese fans are not up to that level where they can understand English translations/passages, not unless they grew up overseas, unfortunately.

Actually, one of the mods at the Chinese forum was saying they are thinking of setting up an English board in their forum, where they would try to translate and provide the latest news and magazines, in English. I was a bit sceptical how they could get together enough people to be able to pull that off (although they are already providing chinese translations for most recent news items and magazines). What do you guys think? Some feedback may encourage them. I am not sure why no one has come across and asked directly, I guess they are probably still thinking about it.
Some of the content in magazines are not that interesting IMHO, so I wrote that english subtitles for Aya's dramas/movies may be preferred by most non-Asian fans. I think they would welcome some opinion/feedback from you guys.

Hmm, I see. DidnLt think that it was that "bad." But I guess it makes sense now that most times Japanese or Chinese etc fans stay together and donLt visit english languare boards etc.
A english section would be very nice! ILm sure there are tons of interesting information and media but I couldnLt find myself around on the board :hehe: Actually ILd love to see uety-cafeLs blog in english, as well! But I think he wonLt have time to translate the whole thing besides the already much work he must have with the japanese version

Just saw rgis. For Oshimai (and me of course).

---------------
I understand what xploring says, I've met several chinese from mainland and also some japanese people. True that chinese people aren't comfortable with english understanding writing etc. (was pretty funny to talk since I can't speak chinese either) But about the japanese I met, all could speak english, and I also met an obaasan in the plane speaking french quite good. Well french for beginner but the accent was quite correct. I was very surprised. ANd of course the english of this obaasan is very good  HEr granddaughter who was traveling with her could speak english very well for her age.

Anyway, I intend to learn chinese at least, and japaense we'll see. I think for us western, or western-born eastern, we should learn eastern langage. That's the least we could do to pay a tribute to the culture we like. Last but not least, I think learning langage is very helpful to understand their way of thinking, philosophy ... That makes much more easier to understand Aya's behaviour, reactions and all ~ Add also food culture *lol*.

I just mean it's impossible to traduce every text, every event Aya is in. If we learn japanese, not only we'll be able to understand directly, but it will also be grateful, profitable to us in many ways. You win on 2 sides.
However I understand not everyone can afford learning, so I agree with xploring about a basis service : dramas, and maybe messages directly from Aya, like some major interviews, some vidoes on oscarpro site, and her blog (there's already gloomy on it :applaud: ) .

I probably made it sound worse than it is. There are a lot of people who can understand English as well, but I guess most are put off, or would struggle a bit in understanding long passages, or keeping up with subtitles.

They actually have a few different people who can translate, into Chinese at least.

Here are a few scans with Aya and her friend, Becky. Thanks to dk394yea

That's it. Items that I missed in the last few days. I think.

@Sangohan: Japanese is probably a little bit easier to learn than Chinese, for people who don't understand either.
Chinese characters are a bit more complicated, even though some overlap.
But Chinese is probably a bit more practical/useful in the real world since more people use it.
Anyway, good luck with it. I wish I have the same level of motivation.
