Heh, we were discussing this over on the Aya-Ueto.net forum. Almost all of that money goes to her promotion company :shakehead:

Actually in Japan, actresses/actors are quite underpaid compared to their American counter parts. I mean take for example Yukie Nakama of Gokusen which got about 30% tv ratings. She got paid per episode and made I believe 2 million yen per episode. A very far cry from the cast members of friends who made 30 million each in their last season!
