there are lots of ways, it all depends on the progam you use to watch the dvd :) on power dvd there is a screencap button, and on windvd too (although this only works on some formats) also you can use windows media player. you simply press print screen and copy it into paint. sometimes this doesn't work, sometimes you can fix it by going into tools, options, performance, and setting the slide for video acceleration all the way to the left. I think this only works with more recent media player though. like kuroyume says, you can use animation shop, too (but i'm not too sure how to do that myself)

Print screen doesnLt work most times because they work in overlay mode. You only get a black sceen when you try to make a cap.
Only movie format I can remember that works is Quicktime, I think.
I suggest ZoomPlayer. ItLs free, has tons of options, can play like anything and you also can make caps from most formats, too. I think itLs with <Alt> + <F>

Hi, aya fans, i'm new here and this is my first post, i've tried to look through all 300 pages, and wow it took me awhile, i'm a new aya fan after watching azumi last month, and wow didn't know she sings too, listened to a couple of her songs and i totally luv them, her voice is so cute and so is she...and i luv her acting too..i'm starting to collect her shows and drama now, haven't gotten any live performances yet, still looking, but yeah, i'm glad to see there are so many aya fans out there too!!! :woot:

Oh, yeah, i'm currently watching azumi too right now i downloaded using clubbox..thanks to felinewong for posting the link....so far i'm luving it..can't wait for it to come out on dvd with english subs so i could understand it better...and i can't wait for attack no.1 to have english subs too!!!

you can try vcd gear, http://www.waabsite.com/programs.html...i'm not sure if it will work, but my friend was trying to rip something off a vcd too, she asked a question in a different forum on how to and someone told her about this..basically the person said to first convert the dat into mpeg, then mpeg to mpeg...oh and i'm not sure if the link on that website is the full version..

As for that eBay auction, it looks really dodgy to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if the 'English' subtitles it mentions aren't the Chinese machine translated ones from kloofy that we already have.

Though I have to warn everyone there will be a wait for any Install subs from me. I'm doing my exams at university at the moment, so I won't be able to even start subtitling again till the end of June. Plus I still need to definitely confirm a translator :(

If anyone wants to buy that DVD just in case the subtitles are okay, then go ahead, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Apparently if you change that d in there to an e, there is no download limit and you can download as many times as you want

BUT the link still expires after a week

Actually, it's pretty simple once you know how :) Just pop the VCD into your computer and browse the disc using Explorer. Have a look in the folders. I can't remember offhand which folder it is (mpegav maybe?), but one should contain a very large file (easily the largest on the disc) which usually ends in .dat

Just copy that onto your HD and rename the file something.mpg and that's it :) VCDs are just standard mpeg files set up so DVD players and the like can read them.
