I know what you mean roppongi-san. I'm a bit partial to aya having long hair too. But, as you said, either with short hair or long hair, Aya still looks great... And that smile will surely make you go :bonk::bonk::bonk: lol It's her hair after all... :rolly:

Quick request - if anyone download my rip of AYAUETO (Aya's first album) from JPopsuki and still has it, could they please reseed it? I had to wipe my hard drive recently and some of the stuff I backed up onto DVD was corrupted. Thanks!

Skater Takahashi gets giant Valentine's Day chocolate from actress Aya Ueto

Ueto writes a message on the handmade chocolate.

Japanese figure skater Daisuke Takahashi has received a boost of support ahead of his performance in the Turin Winter Olympics, being handed a 5-kilogram chocolate heart from actress Aya Ueto as a Valentine's Day gift.
Ueto also sent Takahashi a video message telling him to eat the handmade chocolate and keep his spirits up.
"I'm so happy," Takahashi said. "I'm going to do my best and try to put on a perfect performance."
The gift was arranged by Japanese snack giant Lotte, an official partner of the Japanese Olympic Committee. It was created by Ueto, using 70 bars of Ghana Milk Chocolate. The heart-shaped treat is 2.5 centimeters thick, and weighs five kilograms.
Ueto wrote a message in white chocolate on the gift, saying, "I'm going to Turin to cheer you on. I'm praying that you'll be able to give 100 percent."
"In the 20 years I've lived, this is my best Valentine's Day gift," she said. "Writing the words was really hard."
The chocolate arrived in Connecticut, where Takahashi had been training, on Feb. 1. After watching the video of Ueto making the gift, Takahashi said, "She told me to do my best, so I'm going to try even harder."
"The Olympics are a dreamlike place. I want to put on my best performance and give a victory pose," he added. (Mainichi)

doesn't this mean ... she's coming to europe for the olympic games (in turin)?!? :dancing: ... what a pity we dun know the exact date, time and place yet. (otherwise ...)

we could start making plans on ... arranging a "welcome comitee" for her ... with a lot of her european fans  coming to meet & greet her!

couldn't she give at least one or two concerts here in europe, when she already comes here all the way :fingerscrossed:  :bonk: ?!?

Aya's comming in Europa    Damn, they should have released this news earlier.

@Phinn: Ohh my, finding that backup copy is damaged sucks. I've whole discography from there, but unfortunately I edited some ID3s :ashamed:. Usually if change something I also keep the original files for reseeding purpose, but this one I don't have :banghead:

Right, according to Oscar Promotion, Aya will be flying to Turin (Torino) to cover the 2006 Winter Olympics. Her first broadcast from Turin is tonight (Saturday) and her last broadcast is on Friday the 24th, which means she'll be in Turin for the next two weeks or so!

Unfortunately, she's already there it seems, so no welcome party at the airport... maybe on the way back? Apparently I can get a flight to Turin for 80 pounds :)

Too bad that Aya is so close and yet so far away. Something like a welcome of her European fans would have been very cool but probably impossible to manage. Especially on such short notice...

Another thing, I know itLs a bit off topic but as many here use torrent clients; I just updated Azureus and it seems the downloads are slower now because of a "DHT firewalled" message that came with the update. All NAT tests are OK, itLs just that DHT thing and I canLt find anything about how that problem can be solved....

Sorry guys I said I was going to upload the PV but

I got into some technical problems
Somehow the PV won't upload (stops at 97% :grumble: )

I'll try again later and see if it works :shakehead:

OK, let's send Phinn as an agent with primary and sole mission to track, meet and persuade Aya to come back in Europe and give a performance for her european fans. Bonus mission is to find this Takahashi guy and steal the chocolate heart...
Now seriously it will be great if Aya can get free time and go for a walk around Torino, to explore a little of european culture. Then hopefuly she'll come again :fingerscrossed:

My Azureus is acting very strange recently. All torrents stay with yellow faces and almost has no connection with any other peers, speed is low too, NAT icon is yellow too. I've checked my router, then give him hard reset and checked it again and yet nothing. And changes in 2.4.0.0 GUI are awful :bleh:

but i think there would also be very high security ... and lots of bodyguards i think, even if this is not japan! so it might be very hard to approach her. she also managed to keep it confidential at all for a long time (?) that she made plans for coming to europe :banghead: ... no further comments by now, maybe later :puppydog: :bleh:
12 Feb 2006, 06:45 #12355
I think if we went to Torino, we would probably get closer to Aya than anywhere else. In Japan everyone knows who she is, so there's tight security and all. But in Torino no one knows who she is. No one is even paying any attention to her there.

That's what I was thinking. Just need to get hold of a press pass and you're in :)

^ Precisely, I was thinking same thing. Uffff such a waste...

Edit: Buhaha guess many people here think alike, on same plot
12 Feb 2006, 07:05 #12358
ah, wouldn't it be great to meet Aya

I hope she comes to Canada one day :fingerscrossed:
12 Feb 2006, 07:15 #12359
well .. and esp if you have a look onto her broadcast-scedule ... http://www.oscarpro.co.jp/talent/ueto/news.html

it seems from now on she'll only be on air on thursdays!! .... so she seems to have free on all other days. we might even "catch her" during some free sightseeing on the streets :shamefulcry: .... man, i wanna go to turin NOW

To be honest, only outside Japan could you possibly hope to meet her and maybe go for a coffee or something. In Japan, no chance. In Italy, no-one will know her.

Do we have any Italian Aya fans here?
