Well I think if you fantasize anything excessively it gets into an unhealthy obsession...

It's kinda hard for idols to live... on one hand they get to be famous and all tht but then they can't really have a personal life until they retire... :shakehead:


well i agree...especially in japan where the talent agency seems to have such a strangle hold on the image creation and preservation of their stars

i don't necessarily feel sorry for them but i agree it must be a hard life, trying to balance the personal and professional aspects of being a celebrity.

edit: don't necessarily buy into this innocent, tomboy, perhaps even "virginal" image...that's what they sell in the media...it might not be entirely accurate as a reflection of who aya ueto is or desires to be....i think she's great but if we all start second guessing everything she does in her personal life than i think you begin to distort reality and try to bend a person's image into an idealized fiction of the mind.



in all fairness maybe she likes those types of guys; moreover, given her stratospheric career and her, most likely, TIGHTLY MANAGED image it's probably difficult to have a "normal" relationship that has room to grow and flourish.


Well, i do understand your point of view but maybe it's because we believe that she could've picked a better person? It probably is in part, jealousy, but im sure a lot of people have ideas of what famous guys would fit aya more than Go (in their mind). And in the end, Aya picked Go. We dont know if he's actually really cool or if aya is into that type of guy but we may always think that there could be someone that is a better match. Saying that she picks trash could also mean that she's been deceived, can't pick a right guy or feels sorry for him. It could happen!

About aya's image, you may be right. She's shown as an innocent girl that everyone should love. But then in interviews, she says she likes people that are kids at heart yada yada and i believe that reflects the type of person she is because naturally you want a compatable person that shares your same loves and ideas. Or maybe she could be lying. I don't know. And if you do really have an 'idol', you'll always wonder what goes on in their personal life. It's just natural.

Yes, I translated the page but it always just said Sonica cards. Not what kind of cards. But it must be these on the pic.
