Yes, all downloads with torrent clients or emule are not as fast as the normal internet download speed.
Something between 5-30 kbps is normal, up to 120 is very good. Best let it download overnight :mrgreen:
Too many active torrent downloads make ech one slower, of course. Dependiong on your overall internet speed. What Torrent client are you using? Azureus?

@nubs_cooper67: Patience my young Padawan learner :mrgreen:. Torrent speed depends on upload capacity of all peers that are connected, not only your i-net bandwidth. Also are you behind firewall/router, because in that case you should do the famous port forwarding exercise ;).

p.s. I'm downloading some Morning Musume stuff and the dl will complete in 20 days, so no need to panic with your 8 hours yet...

20 days? cor blimey. does this mean its ok to stop downloading? i started downloadng and got like 2% and gave up as it took forever and i thought i did something wrong, but if i pause it or stop it does that mean i can just carry on downloading later and not have to start from scratch?

@nubs_cooper67: You can interrupt torrent and resume it whenever you want, it'll not start from scratch. Also about firewall - you don't need to stop it, just set up a rule for your torrent client to be permited to use specific port. If your torrents stays with yellow faces all the time, then you may have connectivity problem because of NAT/firewall.

wicked thats great thanks! it says its gonns take one day and 14 hours now so thats a good thing i can stop and start it :D have to try and do the firewall. i'll look on their website, its bound to give instructions.
