Yes, there has been a Fall Basho. Up thru day 10, Hakuho alone at the top 10-0. Harumafuji pulled out after day 5 with a record of 3-2. The other yokozuna Kakuryu is at 9-1 along with the surprise of the tournament Ichinojou in just his first tournament also at 9-1. Newbie Ichinojo fights yokozuna Kakuryu in the final bout. The video is on the side it was not a good match.

Yes there has been a tournament in Fukuoka. Was waiting for something newsworthy to happen and today it did. Hakuho lost to Takayasu leaving Kakuryu alone at the top undefeated. 8 guys at 5-1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mt-A10yVLxg
We now have to yokozuna tied with 1 loss each as Kisenosato takes out Kakuryu. The yokozuna bouts start at about the 8:50 mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9YmcmY3aew

And barring the Second Coming, World War III, or Hakuho decides to have a sex change operation there will be a new all time leader next year.

I think I will be a little sad when Hakuho breaks the record. Nothing against Hakuho--he is a great rikishi, respects the history of the sport, and comports himself with class. But Taiho was my first sports hero many many years ago, and that makes him very special as far as I'm concerned.
Hakuho begins his quest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoZawvq66t8
Maybe Hakuho's strategy is to let these guys eliminate themselves. First upset already on day 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXCV9tIHyco&list=PL556B0EVMUL2_4gzKw8IWzeWi_FR0FSln&index=16
Hakuho alone at the top after day 7 as the other Yokozuna manages to take himself out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtenUoiSca0
Day 11, Harumafuji making it easier for Hakuho: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi9vrc46OYc&index=53&list=PL556B0EVMUL2_4gzKw8IWzeWi_FR0FSln
Technically, it ain't over, but in reality, it's over.

Day 13 and here's the deal: Harumafuji vs. Kakuryu, Harumafuji has to win to stay 2 behind Hakuho with two days to go. If he loses he's out. Last match is Hakuho vs. Kisenosato. Kisenosato is also two behind so if Hakuho wins and Harumafuji loses Hakuho wins the basho. The first video is Harumafuji/Kakuryu and then it goes right to the Hakuho/Kisenosato match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs9_lurHLGY&list=PL556B0EVMUL2_4gzKw8IWzeWi_FR0FSln&index=58

Yes, there has been as Osaka basho. Business as usual after 10 days, Hakuho alone at the top 10-0. Of the other yokozuna, Kakuryu had to withdraw after day 1 and Harumafuji has 3 losses. The only other guy with just 1 loss is Terunofuji (another Mongolian) here's his match from today against Kotoshogiku: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6Ot2c-mRhM&index=54&list=PL556B0EVMUL2W6I_17b0Pf7JIDa1Pv9c-
Well, that didn't take long. Hakuho back to a 2 win cushion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXYZBcxB5lg&index=58&list=PL556B0EVMUL2W6I_17b0Pf7JIDa1Pv9c-

Terunofuji needs to beat Hakuho now or it's all over.
