She changed her name somewhere between 1999 and 2002. She disappeared from public eye in '99 and in'02 she came back under a different name. I'm not totally sure why she changed her name...I've read that it may have been to have a more unique name, +apparently there's another Matsumoto Megumi...(don't know who she is though)

That's kind of weird, because I've heard this too, but everytime I've checked I've never found anything about the other one. Only Rio, but younger. :confused:

Rio sounds Brazilian and exotic like Rio de Janeiro. :sweat:
