If you can read kanji it helps too. As Tu said it was a word play thing - Minami-chan was kind of hypnotized by the words and took the new JR line to Kagoshima for some black-haired pig cuisine.
Incidentally Kagoshima is Minami-chan's home prefecture.
Kono josei wa Manami-chan desu ^_^
edit: Since you can read Chinese you have a big leg up on me!

Mistake rectified, thanks for the heads up.
I seem to have a problem distinguishing 'a' and 'i' - 10 years ago my doctor told me to keep fit, but I ended up keeping fat, leading to a short vacation in the local hospital recently...

i incorrectly spell words here all the time....so i'm no better! i don't use firefox often which has a built-in spell checker...
it's tough getting older isn't? sometimes i feel that way....maybe we should join Manami for some Black Pork in Kagoshima to feel better :)
Don't give them any ideas! I'm sure they have producers and directors in Japan just as moronic as the ones here that created all those "Police Academy" pieces of crap. :bleh: [/list:u]

Police Academy 5....pure gold...it glimmered brightly or as they say in Japanese "kirakira shite" <no pun intended>

Not me.
If the knuckleheaded powers-that-be think a sequel is merited, the least they could do is improve it, rather than go for the cheap, beat-a-dead-horse mentality of something like Gokusen 2 (everyone's favorite whipping boy, but much deserved)...

For the second year in a row, Oricon has conducted a survey regarding the "kogao" (literally, "small face") beauty trend. A thousand men and women were asked to name celebrities that they associated with the "kogao" image.
On top of the list this year was singer Namie Amuro, an improvement from her #3 ranking last year. In second place was actress Manami Konishi, who ranked first last year. Actress and model Nana Eikura saw a boost in popularity as she rose to #3, while Kyoko Koizumi fell two spots to #4. The rest of the top ten were: Koyuki, Hinano Yoshikawa, Misaki Ito, Ayumi Hamasaki, Alisa Mizuki, and Erika Sawajiri.

Interresting trend? Does that mean that Horikita Maki is per se excluded or is there also a "large face" beauty survey??? :hehe:
