I'm paying the same for 5/1 DSL. :banghead:

And as usuall, the tech support person had me reset the DSL modem, so I lost all of my port forwarding settings for torrents. :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:

And for Verizon to abandon their DSL users would be pretty stupid, since you'd think DSL is still their bread and butter service....
bmwracer wrote:I could care less about upgrading: I'm paying my $15 every month, so I'm entitled to a internet connection, plain and simple.
If they don't wanna support DSL, they shouldn't offer it in the first place and spam my e-mail AND snailmail box constantly with deals on 3Mbit/6Mbit service.

I'm wondering if this has to do with jumping onto someone's internet connection at work the other day. I was able to go online and download a large file, but yesterday and today when I tried going online at home, I can't connect at all. :(
I hope someone will be able to help me because I need to do a bunch of things on my crappy desktop and it's going to be hard to go online with it at the same time. :grumble:

Have you tried using a wire rather than wireless?
cori wrote:Yes, I have, but it's too inconvenient because I don't keep my laptop in just one area. Besides, I haven't had problems with it for almost a year now. This is the first time it's really given me trouble.

Well, if it's your only choice.....
I'm guessin' that since you locked in to a different wireless connection, Windows is choosing that one as your default... You need to get into your Network Connections and choose your home wireless connection as your default... I think.
dochira or G-Mark would know... :victory:
