Well the name Joe is taken from a foreign language usually only names which have not originated from Japanese are written in Katakana.

Hmmm, in Breen's name dictionary, there are a couple Kanji spellings for Odagiri ... but maybe it's an artistic thing to use Katakana.

I guess so.. :crazy: or to make him more sound foreign because it's cool perhaps. Well, Joe did spend his some years in the US to study.

I think I read somewhere that he just did it to be different or something to that effect. When he first started out he used the kanji writing of his name.

One of his first roles in a movie was in Jubaku - Spellbound. I think it was a really small part, but if you watch the credits closely you will see his name written in kanji.

Jubaku!! yes it's really small role, I hardly notice him in that film. But the movie is good.

Yes! I enjoyed it too. I didn't even know Joe was in this movie! I was looking at his bio when I saw it listed after I had seen the movie on our local cable station.

At least his roles are bigger and better now! :mrgreen:

Having your wisdom teeth out isn't fun. I had all 4 done at once ... man that hurt. Good drugs though. I was blasted for 2 days straight.

what do u mean closing up? i have to go back to the dentist on wed. to take out the stitches.. does that mean closing up? :sweat: luckily, its just a tooth, while few of u had 4.. *ouch, but i still cant sleep at night, i had to do like several positions before i sleep peacefully :(

Yeah, when I had my wisdom teeth pulled I ripped my stitches and got some food stuck in my "hole". It was the worst! Hope your recovery goes a lot smoother than mine did. (I'm sure it will! :D )

Don't worry, the pain will be gone soon! Think Joe thoughts to keep you goin'! :mrgreen:

do they make things numb to take off the stitches? obviously ive never been in a surgery and how it works :sweat:

I agree! I think the best hairstyle I've seen him with is the one he had in Kao. He looked so cool with that hair! His hairstyle in Beginner drove me nuts! :nut:
