That's why they should use communism. Then you have five guys for one job.

I was going to tell about this site http://recaptcha.net/ when I found out the site is down. Is it because of the hackers or something like that? The website I attached here has some tools to fight hackers. Can you let the person who runs D-ADDICTS about this? Who knows it might work for the site.

I miss the old d-addicts already T__T

The problem with D-Addicts right now is that the server hosting most of D-Addicts' sites (including the DNS server) is down. Because it has been down for the past 24 hours or so, the DNS entries all over the world TTL'd. I'm not sure what the latest IP addresses are for the various servers within the D-Addicts family. According to NetCraft, the IPs are:

217.172.47.83 d-addicts.com
217.172.47.83 www.d-addicts.com
72.232.242.190 wiki.d-addicts.com

Because the wiki is on a different server/provider, it currently works. If you add these entries to your HOSTS file, you can at least hit the wiki (Google for instructions on how to edit the HOSTS file.)

But even with these entries, the main web site and tracker (not sure what the IP is for d-addicts.net) is still down.

As usual, once the DNS server is re-established, please remove these entries from your HOSTS file, so that your PC continues to resolve names using the DNS.

Thanks a lot groink, I noticed yesterday that the site went down 3 hours before the wiki did.

I followed these instructions and example and it worked like a charm.

I emailed Ruroshin. Here's what he has to say:

Something is wrong with the server, it is up but none of th service is working and I can't login to the server. I've ask the provider to reboot it but they've been pretty slow to respond to my request. To make matters worst, I got disconnected from my ISP yesterday (in the midst of changing to another ISP) so I currently don't have internet at home.

Anyway, if its not backup in 24 hours then I'll start setting up the backup copy of the forum on another server.

Ouch. I was almost at the same point just a few days after I came back from vacation. Had an ISP change and... blargh... very much like Ruroshin's little "adventure" now.

Thanks amrayu for letting us know.

What's the best way to deal with D-addicts withdrawal? Everytime d-addicts is down, it just feels like kono yo no hate. :(

OMG! :puppydog:

I haven't been on on the site for 2 days and this happens!!!

I went there to see if there were any new translations updates and was stunned when it was down! Anyone know if they plan to come back up or is this going to be shut down for a long time? *praying for a quick return* :fingerscrossed:

Sorry if this has been answered but man I am out of the loop!!!

Please read my post above. Ruroshin (the owner of D-addicts) wrote that email to me.

Are there other sites that have SmapxSmap torrents?

edit: I'm looking for the most recent episode, not older ones.

Many thanks to amrayu and groink for posting info about what's happened to the site! "d-addicts" is such an apropos name--I'm already exhibiting withdrawal symptoms.

[Off topic response to a previous post, my apologies in advance:

There are two other sites from which I have downloaded SMAPxSMAP episodes in the past but neither have had any recently:
