The ol' myth is true about tattoos. Once you get one, you'll want more! :hehe:

ahochaude wrote:Funny thing is that when I get tattoos, it doesn't really hurt. Weird. But I like it. Drinking is not a necessity for getting a tattoo. (for me that is)Liking it? BM is right being a masochist. BTW, did your whips and chains order came in yet from ebay? LOL!

niko2x wrote:thats gotta hurt! but then again if you're drunk, it shouldn't hurt too much. another thing is, if you ARE drunk and getting a tattoo, the alcohol thins out your blood and then the result of the tattoo can come out hurting (as in sucks).

You do realize that guys will just use that for target practice right? ;) You could always get one on the belly, that area is at least conciealable, otherwise. I like the ankle area, imho.
bmwracer wrote:I have yet to understand the point in getting a tattoo... Could you guys share your thoughts on why you have or want to get one (or more)?

Kouseiya wrote:For me, I am only scared of getting tattoos that would show if I got a job or something.Yup. Don't be stupid like me and get tattoos on your hands. (I did it when I was 12 :beaten: ) Hard as hell to get a job which is why currently I'm removing it by laser surgery. (The ones on my hands ONLY)

Niko2x wrote:You could always get one on the belly, that area is at least conciealable, otherwise. I like the ankle area, imho.Eww. Belly, not a good choice for a woman (IMO). I like my women feminine. On the lower back is cool but on the ankle is even better! :D
bmwracer wrote:I have yet to understand the point in getting a tattoo... Could you guys share your thoughts on why you have or want to get one (or more)? :sweat:I always wanted a tattoo to represent myself in some kind of weird and subliminal way (now that I think about it), and now I embrace the fact that I got those tattoos for a reason in some certain point and time in my life. My tattoos (IMO) (whether anyone can tell or not-but that's ok 'cause it's only for ME) represent a certain stage that I was going through in a time of my life. Like some people say, it's a "body art". A "form of expression".
bmwracer wrote:There's the contradiction: Cool today, stupid tomorrow... I mean, it's not like a haircut or something... It's near-permanent.Which is why I make sure that whatever I'm going to get is what I really want. I get only whatever I'm sure that I'll stick with. Something that I vow to myself not to take off.
The Man wrote:Mmm hm, indeed. I mean, tattoos end up looking like a nondescript spot on ya'll's skin once its elasticity disappears (i.e., wrinkles), no?Yes, in time it will. But during my life at that time, I won't be taking off my shirt in public and whatnot.
The Man wrote:Ahochaude, you mentioned that you were laser surgery'ing a few tattoos off, right?Yes, my friend. Tattoos on 8 fingers. (Words on each hand's fingers) It's a bitch.
ahochaude wrote:Yes, my friend. Tattoos on 8 fingers. (Words on each hand's fingers) It's a bitch.
But hey, a lesson only to my benefit. At least I won't get any tattoos that I'll live to resent/regret. :)
I like my other tattoos. The ones on my fingers are gay, but they're almost invisible now.
The Man wrote:O.K. TATTOOS ON YOUR FINGERS. Now, THAT, I've never heard (much less seen) before.
The Man wrote:That . . . that is SOMETHING. Tattoos on your fingers. WHAT were you t'inking, bruddah? It is something, ain't it??!!! Peer pressure my friend, peer pressure. I was highly too sensitive at the time.
