It appears this week will be a "fish fight" I'm not sure what kind, for Sekiguchi they used the kanji character for sakana, but Miyake's side they spelled out something in katakana, that reads "hokke" I have no idea what the hell that is, :banghead: but I'm assuming it's some kind of fish.

I saw the Mitsuwa ad yesterday. One of the fish looked like salmon to me. In fact, wasn't the character ø (sake)??

was it salmon coated with the sake leavings?
my ex made that for me once and it was yummy.

Don't ALL Japanese dishes have sake in them? It seems like every time I watch San-pun Cooking, when they list the ingredients, sake is always in there somewhere :applaud:

I would have, too... I don't really like makerel.

It's interesting that the two women lost out. :headscratch:

It's funny. I don't like fish at ALL, but even I would have chosen Salmon. XD! Ah well... Atleast SMAP guy didn't get chosen to taste. I can't express how much he just SUCKS at it. DX

I (rather my wife) add oyster sauce to the beef dishes.
