Yay, for bumping (almost) year-old dead threads!!! :victory:

But anyway, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to change the size of pics taken from a digital camera so it won't take up the whole screen. Is there some kind of program for the computer or do I have to change the resolution on the camera?

Both. You can take the pic by using a lower resolution on your cam, or you can use a program like Photoshop to resize them once you have them uploaded. :)

Thanks for the response! Now to figure out how to lower the resolution on my camera...

It should be in the setup menu. With a lower resolution you'll also be able to take a load more pics. The only thing is, you don't wanna go too low because it'll decrease the quality of hte pic.

Doesn't your camera have a User's Manual or did you buy it from a street vendor? :P

It did come with a user's manual, but ask me if I like to read directions. :beaten:

You could be a male :)

My mum bought a 7MP digital camera the other day: Cost $89.00 :P

Hell, I shop like a male--in and out of a store within 10 minutes. I don't browse, I only buy what I need and leave. I think I mentioned that before. :P

And $89.00? Damn!

Yeah, but no card with it and it's a no-name brand. My mum wouldn't need anything better anyhow :P

I LOVE your shopping style. Can you teach Mrs A.D. to shop like that? :hehe:

Ah, ok. No card, no name brand. I guess that makes sense that it's that inexpensive. Hopefully it'll work out fine.

And being a low-maintenance gal who doesn't like to waste time in stores might be a factor. I also make lists of what to get and stick to it instead of browsing through countless aisles. :victory:

Yeah, she bought a card for about $30, I think. They flew out for a holiday to Egypt this morning, she wanted a camera to take with her.

Gah, my daughters are as bad: They regard shopping as a leisure activity or an art form. Drives me NUTS! :banghead:

I was considering the Canon 400D/Rebel XTi, but now that Japan most likely ain't gonna happen, I'll wait for the next gen model to show up later this year/next year...

Maybe you, Wyn and I could go in a year or two? And make some other people on this forum join us as well. :P

A Japan junket?

Fascinating idea.

Yeah! I just need to convince my boss to send me there on business at the same time!

Then I could, uh, buy a digital camera to take with me. (To stay on topic) :beaten:

What kind?

The Canon I want is a digital SLR... Much more versatile than my current five-year old, 2MP Canon...

That would be so awesome if you could go too! And I'll bring my digicam too. You guys just need remind me to take pics because I tend to forget I have one now. :beaten:

And definitely get a Canon. According to beem, it's the best. :victory:
