lol hmm 6 more months to go.. until I don't have someone on my back about me drinking... I'm legal in Canada but I'm not going there until my Birthday heh.

Asahi is going to be FIRST on the list! :yippee:

You did well but I think it still might confuse japanese (Japanese are really NOT flexible when it comes to making very small pronounciation mistakes). Try to make the h sound more "noisy" and the I of "hi" should also be shorter ( [a] [sa] and [hi] should have the same length). I tried speaking it in my best japanese I could and what I think is correct. The wav file is here:

Asahi.wav

I also put "Asahi biiru" in it, if they won't understand u can always add "biiru" (beer) to make it extra clear.

you are correct...draft beer....nama means "raw" so it's like raw beer out of the tap (as opposed to the canned variety i guess), thus nama biru.

Does japan make any wine of it's own?

aside from rice wine and perhaps plum wine i don't know honestly....especially if you are referring to the traditional wine made from grapes.

i wouldn't surprise me but i don't know if it would be world class or anything.

I just ask because when I had CM on my pc just about all the wines were Imports from California.
