I thought you were heading out in April...?

Have a great time... Maybe we can hook up when you get back and you can show me all your new pics and loot. :victory:

Yeah, already here, and it is so nice to be back in Japan. I know my way around somewhat to various places, but Shinjuku station is always a tough one as it is the biggest one in Tokyo, i believe. I think it is a mile or so big?

Today i spent the early part of the day browsing Shibuya and walking around. My friend and i had morning latte, and snack at a internet cafe. I absolutely love their coffee cafes in comparison to the ones back at home. Their multi-level starbucks, and other shops is amazing. No wonder the Japanese stay in shape with all that walking in trainstations and elsewhere, so many stairs everywhere! Their attention to detail is truly amazing.
Spent most of the day walking around in Akiba, and later appreciating the bright lights of Shinjuku. Still figuring out what to do tmrw, another full day in Tokyo before heading out to Kyoto. I did see a few cherry blossoms not yet in full bloom but just starting out. There are some trees that have already bloomed. I anticipate there will be a lot more in Kyoto.

Sounds like you're soaking up the scenery and having a blast. Good for you. Keep having fun.

thanks.
another thing i noticed about the Japanese, they are so courteous, mostly in that if they have a cold, they wear out in public those white masks so they don't spread their germs as freely. another orderly thing i perceived is the fact that they move to the left on the escalator so they will let the people on the right side move faster, walking up. Everyone always seems like they are late or in a hurry to get to their destinations, something that by now i am use to seeing in Japan. People in Kyoto and other areas, this is not so much the case, and it is less crowded. The weather is ok, cloudy and a bit cool. Tmrw we may visit Sensoji Temple in Asakusa.

Cool...you guys might want to check out that Kaiten Sushi palce in Asakusa called "Maguro-bito"...it's supposed to be really good and reasonably priced. :)

I'm sure if you asked someone at the conceirge desk or the front desk at the hotel they could tell you where it is.....

Alright thanks. :D :woot:
I bet now there's going to be a huge line. Still, it will be better than the teriyaki chicken sushi at the food court. :bleh:

I'm glad you're having a blast Q. :victory:

Well it'll probably be worth the weight and pretty reasonably priced...I don't know if you're planning to visit Tsukiji....the fish market...you could always eat at Sushi Daiwa....but you'd probably have to wake up at the
crack of dawn and wait in line for sure. But it's cheap and awesome.

"My meal at Daiwa was free because the owner and chef, Shinichi Irino, wouldn't charge Hiroyasu Ito or anyone with him. Ted Bestor, who was with us that morning, says, "We were undoubtedly being served the top-of-the-line stuff, since we were guests of Mr. Ito, president of Chuo Gyorui, so who knows what it might have cost, but probably no more than \6,000 or \7,000"—50 or 60 bucks—"per person. I was in Daiwa early this month, and their standard menu price for the 'in-season chef's selection' was around \4,500," or about $38. "I also had dinner for four at an excellent and tiny Ginza sushi restaurant, with a celebrity chef. Four of us had a superb dinner for \15,000," or about $125, "per person."

Yes, I leaving Thursday morning. I should be in Japan Friday night. :dancing: The only bad thing, looks like the boss gave me his cold. :banghead:

Thank you all. :D I'm currently looking at different types of cellphones. So far they're f-ing expensive. It's almost cheaper to take a 3 years contract, if you intend to talk for more than 15 minutes. :bleh:
