Ah, I see, I was unaware of that. What a pain the ass.

JDorama.com was down for a few hours today and yesterday (14/15 Aug 2006) for some upgrades. (specifically, we're using new and faster hard disks now and had the OS reinstalled)

Sorry for the inconveniences caused.

Good to know that it wasn't my ISP.

This time. ;)

Phew! For a while it thought my ISP (in China) marked JDorama for blocking with its decadent Japanese-related contents...

"decadent." LOL.

If there's anything they should block it's the KAT-TUN/Arashi/Smappies/NEWS/etc. conglomerate.

Is it my imagination or did everyone lose some posts late last night? :headscratch:
18 Aug 2006, 22:51 #427
Do you really pay attention to the post count? :headscratch:

Nope.

But I last posted a Ryoko pic before signing off last night, and it was gone this morning... :headscratch:

 I was just going to say it must have happened in the Ryoko thread. :hehe:

Well, I also posted a response to the question of what a Smappie was and that was gone as well. :headscratch:

More evidence: there were a bunch of posts in the Nisei Week thread and they're gone as well.

WTF?

There were more posts than that?

I know I made several more posts after 9PM in that thread.

Also, I sent a PM to Wynter and now there's no trace of it.

I guess I'm the only one who wasn't incoherent while posting last night.

Looks like there was a change of servers, that would explain it.
19 Aug 2006, 06:18 #435
This is the second time the site has been down in a week... WTF?

I have been having problems on and off for the last week or so. Today I was not able to access 'jdoroma.com', but was able to access 'jdorama.com'. However when I tried to post I was already redirected to 'jdoroma.com', which didn't work. Finally I tried disabling the 'jdoroma.com' entry in my "host" file and things are fine now, albeit noticeably slower than before.

The obvious question here: did Genma et al changed to another server and IP address? Anyone else have problems accessing 'jdorama.com' and solve their problem in the same way?

They did change servers, obviously keeping the old ip in your hosts file would cause issues, it actually seems quite abit faster for me, but I guess it depends on your isp and where you live.

I don't know if this may have something to do with "missing posts" others have reported ...

Right now on the home page, there is this entry under Latest posts:

5. What dramas are you curre...
Tu_triky

But I click on the arrow icon link for the latest post, and I get the message:

"No posts exist for this topic"

the URL is:
http://jdorama.com/viewpost.462770.htm#462770

Wha happen? :headscratch:
