soooo glad he beat that douche Begg-Smith :hehe:

Is there an actual reason for this comment?

Begg-smith seemed liked the usual highly focused athlete to me.

It sounds rather unsportsmanlike. :headscratch:

Congrats to Canada on their Gold win!

Watching the free skate event (figure skating, pairs). Shen/Zhao (CHN) and Kavaguti/Smirnov (RUS) were amazing in the short program. I can't wait to see what they've got this time. :applaud: And the pair from France (James/Bonheur) were just so gorgeous to watch. They nailed that dramatic flair. Too bad they placed 15th in the short. :ohcrap:

The downhill was great to watch today. Wish it wasn't over so quickly. There's still the women's race to look forward to I guess.

I watched that and was speechless at the perfection of the Chinese couple. My fingers crossed they will hold up to win the gold. They deserve it so far and it's so poignnat that this is their last chance. Not to mention a terrific love story between them.....

I think it's more the fact that he IS Canadian. He was actually born and raised in BC. But then moved to Australia for training.
