A while back a forum member (sorry I didn't go back to check who it was) asked for a version of "3 Gatsu 9 Ka" from the drama, the part where Aya left her school to go to the special school and her classmates gave her a performanc of this song. Here it is:

1 Litre no Namida - 3 Gatsu 9 Ka (DVD Rip) - 2

Being born in a spanish family then facing New York the last thing that ever crossed my mind was that someting so simple as a series/drama would actually made me cry. I had years and years I did not see a single tear come out of my eyes.

I am not sure if I am the only one, but I simple could not hold it back and trust me I tried. By episode 6-8 I simple had to. I am not sure if this was due to Erika's character (aya) and feeling pity for such a cute girl dying, or for the amazing acting, but I could not hold that tear. Till this day, I almost feel ashame of letting that tear out, I know for sure if I was to tell this to any of my relatives they would laugh at me...

Hellooo again! I finished watching the series today and my eyes are never the same again. Aya's story crushed my heart :shamefulcry: I do hope they find the cure soon.

HI HI HI
hmm. i watched this series not too long ago. it was so sad!~ made me cry ... and i don't usually cry. i watched it by myself...so no-one could see the tears trickling down my cheeks. :shamefulcry:
sawajiri erika was sooo pretty! especially at the beginning. sadly she slowly changed appearance....not as pretty...but i guess it emphasizes that she is getting sicker and sicker.
nishikido ryou. hmm....well....i don't think he's very good looking. BUT! his character did grow on me towards the end. and it was oh so cute when he said "I like you. i think. maybe" ..something like that. haha so cute. :dancing:
heaps sad. <SAD> that this actually happened in real life! :shamefulcry: i hope they find a cure for that disease soon!

My friend recommended me to watch this dorama before, I wasn't interested but 2 days ago, I downloaded to watch it and today I have finished to watch the 1st episode, I almost cried but I will do it then, it's the most touching drama I have ever watched...It's really painful to watch how a girl is dying episode by episode, I really love Erika, it's her best acting and I totally agree runpup and thtl...Aya is indeed someone worth remembering.

Things like this are what remind you that science needs to continue forward.
Religious ideals are being introduced into the world of science preventing stem cell research and the likes, only to further delay the evolution of medicine.

If god has given us the knowledge let us use it to further ourselves and help the ones in need. In the short years that stem cell was researched we got closer to finding the cure for many types of cancer, and incurable diseases than ever, yet sadly ignorant people assume that somehow we are killing babies etc. I myself dont like Mr. Bush that much, but I do appreciate that while under strict guidelines he has allowed stem cell research to at least continue.

I say, let us remember Aya and where she could have been if only a treatment or better yet a cure was found.

I just finished re-watching this drama last night, and I couldn't control my tears. I didn't cry the first time (maybe cuz I was paying too much attention to Ryo), but the tears came nonstop this time. Dramas like this try to leave you feeling so hopeful and positive about what we can do in life, but why do I feel so negative?? Such a bright future was taken away from a beautiful person...I can't help but think how cruel life is. And this is the reason why I don't like to watch these kind of dramas!

I guess you do have a point there...
Is as aya said "Why did the illness choose me? The word fate isn't a good enough explanation."

When I finished watching this series I did feel a bit, could you say "mad" at life. But I just took this anger to something more positive as to wonder what the future could be like if science evolves, and the role that I could play in this advancement.

While watching this drama I looked at it many times from the doctors point of view. I imagined how it would feel to be her doctor...
Also when the boy asks him "why are you a doctor is you cant save people" that line really hit me hard...

Tainted Wisdom, Its seems that you're working towards a future in which you can help humanity. But I, on the other hand, am not living a life in which I'm working towards anything. I'm living life day to day, accomplishing nothing. Having seen 1 Liter of Tears, I feel like I need to do something with my life. And I hate that it takes something like terminal diseases and death to make me realize this. I feel like I'm wasting my life away...and it makes me want to give it to someone who can do something better with her life. Someone like Aya. She deserved to live...
27 May 2006, 12:59 #1056
Keep in mind that if her death made you and others realize they are wasting their lifes then it wasn't in vain.

Take this experience and better yourself as a human being.
If you smoke, drink etc. How about cutting those out? If you treat others like crap, how about cutting that as well. If you dont exercise and treat your body like BLEEP, then how about joining a gym or jogging?

There are many things to improve yourself and in the end it will also help others.

I was thinking abt this show neh, maybe we shouldn't really say its sad, but touching? Maybe when Aya just realized she had the disease its really sad, but in the end she died without much regrets isn't it? =] Its just that she's young, thats the sad part.

Ah, just my opinion as a viewer, =]

i was online and this girl was like one litre of tears is a must see, i saw a picture and i was like whatever, then my cousins had it and said it's really good and very sad...i was like whatever, ill watch it...
i watched the first episode and was then glued to it!!!!...i was like oh my godsh....every episode was worth it...every scene, everything they said was just so beautiful, i love aya's family so much, ako is such a cute girl, the mom, dad, hiroki, the little baby sister, haruto, all of the actors and actresses did such a nice job at acting!!!...i though erika sawajiri was good for this role, she did a really nice job, haruto may have been a fictional character, but i thought he was useful for the plot, he was always next to aya, which made me happy that out of all the students in her class, he was there for her, i am just so amazed at this drama, i thought korean dramas were good, but then now im likeforget it!...this is even better!!!

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHY AYA SAID "MOM, WOULD I BE ABLE TO GET MARRY?"...I DONT GET WHAT THE POINT OF THAT WAS...
