Question to iceuck: nasa harapan ka rin ba ng tv while you do jdorama?

ahihihi opo..before i left the office last night i was watching tv (may tv monitor sa taas ng ulo ko, na pwede ko ikamatay kung malaglag!) while surfing the net and the late night news was on.

hmmmm..... "she" po ako. siguro minsan muka lang akong lalake pero 100% female ako. hehe  (mejo halata sa aking fangirl avatar and siggy)

di pa rin pumuputok mayon. i think it's a spectacular sight (although it IS harmful to the ozone). I don't think its cone will be affected. it has erupted many times before and fortunately, God has spared the cone. :naughty:

mmm...SOS...(i-open daw ba ulit ang topic) isa sa mga una kong napanood na jdo... minus kyoko fukada and the crappy ending, i actually enjoyed the series. weird huh. where are those happy days? they seem so hard to find...

HAPPY 100 PAGES!!! :yippee:

"Perfect Woman", nag taka nga ako kase wala akong natatandaan na jdorama titled perfect woman tapos si Nanako pa bida so yah probably "Yamato Nadeshiko" nga yun kase parehas ng cast at story....

Na-shock ako nung nakita ko yun that I didn't see the title and just assumed na Yamato Nadeshiko nga yun. :banghead: Pero tama naman yung guess ko, right?

Hehe hindi ako ang gumawa niyan. A friend of mine from another forum did that, favorite din kasi niya itong character na ito. Yup, eto yung humahabol ng pusa at eto rin yung avatar ko, Domo-kun ang name nito. If you were watching NHK dati, makikita mo yung mga sketches nito during commercial breaks ;)

Albay gov't tightens grip on stubborn villagers, tourists
Article posted August 10, 2006, 10:19 am

Local authorities on Thursday threatened to take into custody residents and tourists who stray into prohibited areas near restive Mayon Volcano, which edged closer to a major eruption despite its apparent calm.

Albay Gov. Fernando Gonzalez ordered police and military units to collar even his constituent farmers who enter the volcano's danger zones despite persistent warnings from disaster management officials.

"I have ordered the local police and military to arrest farmers who continue to go back. The danger zone should be a no-man's land by now," radio station dzRH quoted Gonzalez as saying.

The development came as state volcanologists maintained that Mayon Volcano would erupt anytime even after a day of significantly lower sulfur dioxide emissions and fewer earthquakes.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has maintained Alert Level 4 around the volcano, which triggered the mandatory evacuation of over 34,461 residents or 7,072 families as of 9 a.m. Thursday.

The affected residents were uprooted from 27 affected villages and were now cramped in about two dozen evacuation centers.

GMA News teams in Albay recently interviewed residents inside the volcano's danger zones.

Some villagers continue with their daily chores such as laundry work and tending to farm animals amid the threat of an eruption.

Disaster management officials have maintained a six-kilometer permanent danger zone and an eight-kilometer expanded danger zone on the south and southeast sections of the volcano.

Full moon

The "earth tide phenomenon" brought about by the gravitational pull of Wednesday evening's full moon was not enough to coax magma out of Mayon.

"It's not all the time that a full moon prompts the volcano to explode," Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum Jr told dzBB in Filipino.

Solidum said in a separate interview that the low level of volcanic activity may be indicators of a hazardous eruption. He said the drop in sulfur dioxide emissions could indicate that pressure is building up for an explosive eruption.

"Either something is stuck there and there will be an explosion, or the magma coming out has less gas ... So it still means we still need to be cautious," Solidum told the Associated Press.

Since Wednesday, only three volcanic quakes and one minor explosion had been recorded. Sulfur dioxide emission was "down" to 6,573 tons on the same day, compared to 7,829 tons last Tuesday.

"Don't judge the volcano by its relative calmness. It might be part of the process that may lead to a hazardous eruption," Solidum told dzBB.

Deluge

Meanwhile, local authorities in Albay said they were considering the construction of more evacuation centers to accommodate the growing number of uprooted villagers.

Legazpi City Mayor Noel Rosal said Thursday that there was an urgent need to construct the additional facilities to decongest schools now serving as evacuation centers.

"This early, I can say we need to construct additional evacuation centers. We have to decongest the schools now serving as evacuation sites," Rosal was quoted by radio station dzRH as saying.

He added that, "In Legazpi City, at least two schools designated as evacuation centers have been overcrowded in less than one week."

San Roque and Gogon Elementary Schools, two of the major evacuation sites in the province, have already been crowded into social halls and classrooms.

In one elementary school, an average of five families with up to seven members each have to cram into one classroom.

Delivery by train

Malacañang is set to send bags of food and clothing and other relief items to Bicol by train.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development said President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo would formally "send off" Thursday the first batch of relief items at the Philippine National Railways main office in Manila.

It said the first batch included 850 boxes of luncheon meat, 150 boxes used clothing and an undetermined volume of instant noodles.

The train that would transport the goods is scheduled to leave at 11 a.m. The travel time to Albay may take as many as 16 hours.

The President is scheduled to personally visit the evacuation sites in Bicol on Saturday. - GMANews.TV, with a report from AP

yup yup yup. i think sports unlimited has already done a feature on this before. marc nelson and diane castillejo swan in the crater. meron kasing area, yung parang "shore" dun sa crater yung shallow part, actually parang lake na siya (the crater).
but i don't think one can swim there for so long kasi there's still sulfuric content.
