buti ka nga may 20k. hay naku. nakakabagot ang ganito. patience.. konti pa.
baka matagalan ang sars. marami pa silang projects lined up e. and usually naman kasi, matagal sila talga magrelease, unless they mentioned that hanadan is gonna be really really prioritized. yung nagrelease ng sub ngayon, she says this is the first and the last time she's gonna up soft subs. starting next week, hard sub na.

This is totally non-HYD relate, but totally Anything Pinoy related...
Mahgulay, na-stroke daw si Ely Buendia kagabi and nasa ICU pa until now? Like totally collapsed during a gig last nyt?!?! Ohmigod, ahma cry now, seriously :shamefulcry: maybe yung mga really young members of this forum only know him as the vocalist Pupil, but for the older set here, I guess you do know kung gano katindi ang importance nia and the Eraserheads as a whole, sa Pinoy rock scene back in the 90s. They were like my childhood heroes. I knew the words and chords to each of their goddamn songs from their first 4 albums. Their songs were like the theme songs of our barkada. I wanted to go to college in UP becus they studied there (kahit naman alam kong hindi ko naman sila aabutan dun)...I learned to play bass and joined a band becus of them...my whole barkada and I, almost got suspended from school becus of them (yepp, all 23 of us in our barkada!long story...) at kahit na later on eh na-meet ko rin sila at naka-hang out sa mga parties at nakilala bilang mga tao at hindi lang as idols, and after that they disbanded na rin and went on their several ways, musically and otherwise, hindi na maeerase ang naging impact nila sa buhay ko.

This is soooo sad, not only becus he's sick...but becus you can only imagine kung anong klaseng pangaabuso ang ginawa nia sa katawan nia for him to suffer a stroke at such a young age :shamefulcry:

OMG! i don't know what to say. i love the eheads. para sa kin, sila pa rin ang pinaastig na banda ever. honestly, i've always felt proud that i was able to go to the same school they went to. and for my first year there, i always thought of them whenever i was walking along the hallways, and my older friends would tell me about times when they were really there, nagjajamming lang sa labas ng dorm and stuff. if this is true, i hope he pulls out of it. i don't even wanna think of how could've happened to him. basta gusto ko lang, sana gumaling siya.

what was the issue anyway? that ely got too big for the band? oh well. that's odd. I just read a news article on him sa pep and he was refuting a blind item na ginawa ni cristy fermin or something..

I'm glad to see na marami din meh malasakit keh Kuya Ely sa thread na to. Let's all pray for him na lang na sana he recovers soon and is able to live a healthy life again after this. Tingnan mo nga naman ang buhay, etong si Pepe Smith na ang tanda na at ciang umubos ng damo sa buong Pilipinas (yes, that was an actual statement made on national TV a few years back, kaya yun na ang tawag namin ng mga friends ko sa kania since: Ang Taong Umubos ng Lahat ng Damo sa Pilipinas) buhay na buhay pa rin. Si Ely na nasa late 30s nia lang, ciang na-stroke, tsk tsk.
There was never a clear reason kung bakit sila nagdisband. Basta one day, ELy texted Raimund, Marcus and Buddy (my fave ehead) na: "Graduate na ko." And he clearly wasn't referring to school...(i don't think any one of them were actually able to finish college)...tpos after that, he stopped showing up at rehearsals na.
I don't think it;s exactly about being too big for the band, cus this was post Cutterpillow na eh, they weren't exactly as big then as they used to be. So pwedeng it was really time for them to move separately and explore other directions: musical and otherwise. And muka namang happy sila sa mga ginagawa nila ngayon: Raimund is more popular than ever with Sandwich (post-Marc Abaya), Buddy is with The Dawn, and Marcus is happily spending his days surfing in Siargao.
