honestly, ive never heard someone saying i dont like kdrama/twdrama because the story was corny. ikaw pa lang narinig kong nagsabi nyan. do you find MBMH corny? if no then that series is based from a korean movie of the same title. what am i trying to imply? not all korean dramas and movies are corny. but then again, that's just you. i cant argue no more.
as for me, i dont want chinovelas. why? because i am not used to their language. para silang ibong nagsasalita pero in fairness i have watched one chinovela which is "Smiling Pasta". the only chinovela i have ever watched. ok naman sya. di nga lang talaga ako siguro sanay sa language nila.
Lam mo...thanks for bringing this up. Kc parang minsan napapansin ko...yung mga mahilig sa Jdramas (or minsan sa J-Ent in general) mejo condescending. I'm not being antagonistic when I say this ha, it's really just an honset observation. Lam nio namang i'm all for discussing things openly and diplomatically. Parang they so easily dismiss Kdramas or Cdramas as lesser in quality, plot, acting whetever...when they all have their good and bad points naman. Ako kc I appreciate all three types of dramas...tuwang tuwa nga ako kc last season, I was simultaneousy watching and loving 3 dramas from all 3 countries/territories (depende yan kung agree kayo sa 1 China Policy)...na minsan nga nalilito na ko kung magha-hao, kre or hai ako :D Ewan, nakakakaasar lang tlg yung mga taong "Jdramas are the best, all others suuuuuck!!! :usuck:"
Cguro porket mas nagkaron ng commercial success ang Cdramas & Kdramas dito (i.e. mas naging masa, hence, mas naging jologs/baduy/insert deregatory term for the masses), some people autmotically want nothing to do with such dramas just to feel...i dunno...more culturally elite?..their whole attitude is just so annoying at times...
I'm sorry if this comes out as a rant, but i just had to let that out (even though this may not be the most apt venue since THIS is a forum for jdoramas to begin with)
Basta ko if it's good, if it entertains me, if it compells me to think, if it intrigues me, then I'll watch it or at leats give it a try (provided that I have the time of course)...kumbaga kung maganda tlg yan, mapa-Viet, Indo, Malaysian, or Thai drama man yan (which I prolly would really watch if it stars Uttsada Pinachkul), papatulan ko yan...(pero kung Indian, hindi cguro... )

What annoys you? the original Mandarin dialogue? or the Tagalog dubbed ones na? If it's the former...for all you know, our language or the way we talk annoys the hell out of them too.
