OK, I actually finished editing the subs for Anmitsu Hime. If anyone wants to try them out, you can get them here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G9527JFB

*DISCLAIMER*

This is NOT a direct translation from the audio. I based these subs on the ones from d-addicts, that moodilic extracted from a commercial DVD, and edited the Engrish into English as best I could based on what was already there, and on what was happening on screen. I make no promises as to the accuracy of translation, my Japanese is nowhere near good enough to translate or even know exactly what is being said. But the subs should be good enough to make the show enjoyable, or at least watchable. Anyone is free to improve them if they wish. If you don't like them, apparently TimeLesSubs is doing a translation & sub also, please wait for them to finish.

Apologies if I trod on anyone's toes.

Thank you very much Anime Dad :victory: I hadn't watched the Engrish subs yet and now I don't have to, hehe.

No, i believe it's another "Special", like the first Anmitsu Hime.

Rough translation of her recent staff diary:
Basically they mentions about Mao doing some photoshooting in the interval from filming the upcoming drama "Anmitsu Hime 2". They also mentions that there will be an announcement featuring a new movie that Mao will be starring (it will start shooting from the next Spring).

i miss Mao, im glad finally there's news about her new movie:

her new movie is based on the manga, Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu(Ifll Give You My First Love). her leading man is Okada Masaki, the movie will be produced by NTV and it will be released on Autumn 2009. they will start shooting this March. the director is Takehiko Shinjo(Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru).

http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/entertainment/news/20081202-OHT1T00050.htm

abt the manga:
Takuma Kakinouchi has a childhood sweetheart: Mayu Taneda, daughter of his cardiologist. Although Takuma feels strongly for Mayu and vice versa, he distances himself from her intentionally, for he doesn't know how long will his heart keep functioning after he turns 20 (a secret she doesn't know yet), and making her cry for his unavoidable fate is the last thing he would do.

the scanlations are available and this manga definitely looks like a tearjerker. incidentally, the mangaka is Aoki Kotomi, who is also the author of Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru(Matsujun's movie).

from Tokyograph:
Mao Inoue to star in "Boku no Hatsukoi" adaptation
Tue, December 2, 2008 (1:33am EST)
Kotomi Aoki's popular shojo manga "Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu" is being turned into a live-action movie, directed by Takehiko Shinjo ("Heavenly Forest"). Young actress Mao Inoue of "Hana Yori Dango" fame has been chosen to star in the film.

The story revolves around the relationship between Mayu (Inoue) and her first love, a young man named Takuma (Masaki Okada) whom she has known since childhood. Mayu's father is Takuma's cardiologist, and she learns that Takuma may not live much longer past the age of 20 due to his heart condition. When they were 8 years old, Takuma promised to marry Mayu, unaware of his own lifespan. But when he finds out the truth, he tries to distance himself from Mayu in hopes of sparing her the inevitable pain of his death.

Filming is scheduled to start in March, around the time that Inoue is expected to graduate from Meiji University. The completed movie will be released next fall.

It does indeed. I haven't watched this yet even though you posted those awesome subs so I don't know how big Shokotan's role is in it but lol I think she is pretty famous now and they are still putting her in the back.
