her popularity is incredibly high nowadays, and she as I remember, advertised in many places in Japan.

I always felt being a fan, idolizing a popular beautiful talented celebrity does have a lot of good points in that you have access to them almost everywhere, everything Japan!

Do you have the "Voce" magazine, it seems like a worthwhile collectible, as she looks classic-beauty, and a great covershot of her.

Some articles have pointed out that she's not as popular as she could be with advertisers because of her outspokenness, which rubs some people the wrong way.

Haven't been at the local Sanseido to check it out...

that is a shame that her outspokenness affects her relationship, with advertisers and affects her popularity. But I do suppose it is the Japanese and their culture in how they view being upfront rather than letting things be more indirect and left unsaid. But I am glad she is the way she is, and direct, and even if it is outspoken and does rub some ppl the wrong way.

you being so close to Mitsuwa mkt in Torrance, you don't get a chance to visit much anymore?, also Sanseido is convenient for you, but I think Japanese magazine are so expense and overpriced.

Exactly... It's still a male-dominated society and for women to speak their mind is still sorta taboo...

Actually, I visit Mitsuwa every week... I just don't wander into the bookstore all the time.
