This may be the best movie review I've ever read. The reviewer obviously is very fond of this movie, but he's not hesitant to point out the flaws (of which there are many), and yet he compels you to see it for the best reason of all...unlike Nodame Cantibile, where none of the actors actually played their instruments, the actresses in Swing Girls really learned to play theirs under intensive training as the movie was being filmed and you get to see the progression in their abilities as the movie unfolds. The final result is amazing.

BMWRACER, you mentioned earlier that anyone watching Nodame without a hookup to a good sound system was missing a lot...I can say, if you eventually get a copy of Swing Girls, be sure and use that sound system...you will become an immediate fan of big band music!!!
