I have no clue. I wish there was another site out there that support such high quality content. However there could be some startups happening as we speak aiming to take over the Stage6 crew. I was reading a thread on S6 and some guy from Veoh was on there trying to convert people :usuck:

Ive been thinking about looking into Japanese P2P actually. Yeah I guess Im that desperate.

I wonder if the Stage6 guy got hit with some kinda legal thingy which is forcing him to shut down... Ya gotta admit a lot of the posted content was probably copyrighted... :sweat:

It is possible to do direct downloads from veoh (without veoh tv) but again, people dont upload in awesome quality there.

I believe there was a bit of a legal issue. Some group was possibly going to file a lawsuit trying to get a ruling saying what Stage6 was doing was illegal. But the argument was that if what Stage6 was doing is illegal, then Youtube is illegal too. And that wouldn't fly of course cause Youtube gots the dollas. :hehe: So there was the lawsuit possiblity the whole time but the main reason was the massive costs to keep it running. Atleast that's what they are telling us. I don't doubt it though. A lot of large content.

After YouTube got bought out by Google, they immediately started removing questionable stuff from their site... Sort of a legal sanitization.

Unfortunately, Stage6 didn't have that option... Of course, if they did, most of the content we've seen and/or downloaded would've been purged anyways...

Holy cow, have I come to right place for all things Ueno Juri. Bmwracer, I could put those pics in a slideshow and it'd be like watching a video :hehe: Great pics to be found in this thread.

It's funny, before Nodame Cantabile I had no idea who Ueno Juri was, and if it wasn't for her performance, along with Tamaki Hiroshi's, I don't think I would've liked the live-action version as much as the anime. I doubt there many, if any at all, actresses in Japan that could've pulled off a Nodame like Ueno Juri did. She just took the role and made it her own. It's one thing to be able to act out a role, but to see someone who makes it look so natural is a joy.

Other than Nodame Cantabile, I've seen Ueno Juri in Josee, The Tiger and The Fish (great movie) and Swing Girls and I have to say, she's quite the actress and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her performances.

Yeah, Juri-chan did make the Nodame role all her own... And I'm sure she's made her association with Nodame indelible... Burt I also hope she doesn't get stereotyped as well.... :sweat:
