Last month, it was revealed that Maki Hashiba's "Tokyo Ghost Trip" manga is being turned into a live-action series, starring actors Juri and Ren Yagami.

The comedy series currently runs in Tosuisha's yaoi-focused Ichiraci magazine. Setsu (Juri) and Souwa (Yagami) are members of the Inui family, descended from itako (traditionally, blind female shamans from northern Japan). Their high school graduation is coming up, but the head of the Inui family suddenly runs away. Their older brother Kai (Renn Kiriyama), a priest who studied exorcism abroad, becomes their guardian, and Setsu and Souwa are forced to take over the family business of dealing with spirits.

Yoshikazu Kotani and Yukihiro Takiguchi play two other members of the Inui family, while Ryoma Baba plays a ghost named Isuzu Kitano.

The series will air on Tokyo MX starting this April.

Well, the most famous one obviously is Ueno Juri, but there are other actors named "Juri".... Some are guys, some are girls, apparently. :nut:

Ever watch Warau Mikaeru? Jurippe does some ass-kicking in that movie... Though the movie sucked for the most part. :sweat:

I haven't seen that movie yet; in fact the only Juri-chan movies I've seen are Josee, The Tiger and The Fish (that kiss! and that smackdown! holy cow Juri-Chan was quite the fierce one), Swing Girls and that Turtle movie. I suppose I can check it out on Crunchyroll. Juri-chan kicking ass is probably good enough to warrant a look. :mrgreen:

Though why they would CG Juri-chan in some scenes is beyond me. :shakehead:

the movie sucked for the whole part....the inclusion of the amazing CG Scooby Doo was the only highlight.

I never like the Scooby-Doo show and this CG Scooby made it even worse, if that's possible. :bleh:
